I'm not sure but it seems l... morei think android fanboys really excited if the smartphone bring high-end spec without any benefit. for example 6GB of ram (what app or activity that really need that much of ram?). i'm the one who concern about spec too. but without optimation, for me xiaomi redmi 3s more than enough for using phone for chat, browsing, a little bit take a pic, and playing some light game for killing time under $150.

Google honestly don't have a clue what they are doing with flagship Android phones. They are a joke.
The only thing that makes sense is for Google to partner much closer with Samsung and announce the new Android version alongside the new Samsung Galaxy with special features that come out on Galaxy first - or only. Simple fact is that no other Android manufacturer matters anymore!

Everyone wants to experience a Google phone but its pricey always.
I wish google ties up wid Xiaomi(though wid an excellent camera ) to release phones under 150$/250$/350$ segment.

Google should keep both the Nexus brandname for introducing Android major versions in value for money workhorse phones (both entry level and midrange level ) and also introduce the Pixel line as a top contender with special hardware and extremely polished and rich software tailored to be the best Android phone overall.
The Nexi should come out by the end of June with the new Android version and The Pixel by Christmas time with the polished and incremental update.
Software-wise the phones should be supported for 3 years for the Nexi and 4 years for the Pixels.
