21 September, 2016
Just a couple of days after there were rumors that Google Allo will be released sometime this week, the smart messaging app has started rolling out - it's at-least available to install for Android users in India.

And this is supposed to compete with iMessage, WhatsApp, amd FB Messenger? Pathetic.

Anonymous, 21 Sep 2016Pffft! There's Whatsapp and other superior services. Why wo... moreWhatsapp is not superior, that's their success. How many people actually know it doesn't offer end to end encryption before. It was easy to use when it was simple as an alternative to SMS and it was also released at a good timing. If it's release now i dun think it would have such an impact and FB wouldn't pay that much for it, they paid for the database cos user data is a gold mine.

i'll try it as well obviously, but have a look at "wire" - from switzerland. very secure (as far as it's being advertised) and it really includes basically everything - chat, call, video and file sending etc. there's nothing left out. The UI is something that someone needs to get used to, but hey, who can't :-)

Pffft! There's Whatsapp and other superior services. Why would anyone even use a Google messaging app?
