Meh, I'll stick with my Z3c, no point side grading for gimmick features I don;t want if it means losing important features I do.

This plastic is at the better end of the market. It looks sleek.
Bonus is that if you drop your phone it will probably survive. Metal phone does not guarantee this.

With only 73h battery rating it's an immediate fail to me. Too bad, as I am a fan of Z Compact series. Now it's just Mini.

yeap, you are right this is only for peoples with brains the price is not that big but not that cheap this I agree, but if peoples know what they're buy and don't be in a trend they will understand that this phone is really good for everything they wanna do, read is the key to knowledge but if you just post here to have another one more in your account it's for nothing, long story short if you peoples can READ reviews, don't listen to me, better screen, better audio, better camera, bigger battery than z5 compact and more ... so who wanna buy chinesse no problem but if you wanna something good buy something that will last, not sony particulary but i have a z2 for 2 years and it's like brand new

2. Do I even know what other people needs? If they don't like the phone, then they don't have to. No one is forcing them to get it. I'm just stating that we can simply see the X Compact is an overall improvement over the Z5 Compact.
3. Well if that plastic is 10x more durable than glass, then why not? And it will add more fingerprint? Samsung used glossy glass on their phones which also attracts many fingerprints, and so does Apple with the Jet Black iPhone 7. But I didn't hear any complain about them, but with Sony, I can. Is this really how blinded people are today by Samsung and Apple and thinks that they're the only companies in the world in mobile?
4. I don't have idea how could other publishers get worse results than the Z5 Compact, but basing on the specs, the X Compact would really be better than the predecessor with battery. GSMArena have to re-test it again to get accurate results, just like what they did with the XA from 40h to 57h.

Good to know that you consider people stupid for rating minor improvements to a camera and screen less important then waterproofing. Or maybe its just your requirements that are more important to you and not theirs and that is what helps people decide.
I would add plastic body compared to glass (also current model more fingerprint prone, glossy vs matte), Battery life under all current published tests and the current price as three other big reasons that the z5 is still better.
