I live in S.Korea so I thought I should be able to be one of the first one to get this device but I couldn't. I went to many phone shops including a big LG retail shop. They all refused to sell the device without a contract. I tried the device in LG shop and the sound quality was magnificent with it's BO earbuds. The guy in the LG retail shop told me that LG "may" sell this device without a contract from 21st of October to 999.000KW which is about +900 USD. He said he will call me once it's available without a contract.
So what I did? Instead ordered an ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe with sn820 from Ebay and will receive it by 20th of October. It will coast me 600USD.
LG Lost one of her potential customers because of their stupid marketing strategy. Let's be realistic about the dates; none of the devices are ever coming on the promised dates, right. When did they announce this device first? If I can't get it in Korea by now, who will receive it on time around the globe?

And nobody cares anymore or simply stopped caring to wait any longer... Get a cheap iPhone SE, OnePlus 3, ZTE Axon 7, or Xiaomi Mi 5 at half the price. Or get an iPhone 7 Plus or Google Pixels instead which don't seem to have major issues. V20 brags it has Nougat when it is being AFTER the Pixel which has 7.1? LOL @ LG. The battery test in the V20 review from Hot Hardware is atrocious just like the G5 was.

At least many other companies aren't messing up like Samsung and LG have done with their terrible timing this year. One was rushed and might need a second recall. The other took so long to get a release day after the flop from the G5. The camera and audio recording on the V20 isn't all that either. Both brands are becoming a butt of jokes. I hope Samsung goes down. I want to see Huawei or whatever Chinese company take over the #1 spot.

The days of Samsung being #1 are numbered. Huawei, OPPO (mother company of OnePlus) or maybe good ol' Nokia to return to the throne. The Note7 recall and LG G4/V10 bootloops tarnished both South Korean manufacturers forever. I might go back to LG if they finally have common sense to put a larger battery and water-resistance in the V30 next year. But for $830 with weak battery life on V20? Hell no. Pass.

Samsung? Nah. Don't like OLED technology either. I hate glass backs. The burning Note7 where we have no way to prevent it from happening has damaged Samsung's reputation forever. I don't care if their low light photography is stellar. Safety first.

LG? Maybe I will buy another LG because they offer removable battery but not for the V20. This was another failure on them especially with their procrastination. Then their random bootloops from last year's flagships that tarnished their name too.

Both South Korean manufacturers keep shooting themselves in the foot with random failures. Their QC is probably no better than the Chinese right now.
