The specs sound great....... It would be a fine one. , I think..... Definitely one of the best on the market, though it would be extremely hatd(although impossible) for it to beat the a10

huawei has built brilliant hardwares in past, what matters now is the software improvement,,their sofware is not at all smooth and transitions are not as cool as on iphone or other high end android phones

people say a10 is beast in reviews ?? but is right to compare heavy os like android and optimized ios will be great if a10 is used with android then tested if it is really that fast and aswell use ios on 820 or exynos chipset then compare it im sure apple optimize its os thats why a10 gets best results

AnonD-99764, 19 Oct 2016I doubt it will beat A10 though. That chip is a work of artI agree. The A10 is one powerful beast, but it's nice to see a processor coming closer and closer to its power.

HiSilicon (Huawei) is becoming quite a big player in CPU/Chipset department. I wonder if they'll continue only doing them for their own devices or also sell it to others.

ssbatman21, 19 Oct 2016Kirin 955 was not too great with the gpu to begin with. So... moreSD830 and the new Exynos processors will probably be more powerful, but then there will be the Kirin 965 and 970, then the SD831 (I assume?), SD835, SD840, more powerful Exynos processors, and then again, Kirin 975, Kirin 980, and so on. There will always be better and more powerful processors.

ssbatman21, 19 Oct 2016Kirin 955 was not too great with the gpu to begin with. So... moreYep their gpu proved to be sucks. But this is a new gpu unlike any other so we'll just have to wait and see how's this gonna perform

YO, 19 Oct 2016dont you think this will support 4k for sure coz its a high... moreWell, since Huawei's chipsets never supported 4K, and since my P9 has the Kirin 955 chipset (which is considered a high-end chipset) which doesn't support 4K, I assumed the Kirin 960 won't support 4K either.

ssbatman21, 19 Oct 2016Kirin 955 was not too great with the gpu to begin with. So... moreLooking good at last...but they have to release the sources to have custom rom's and kernels. Until then, no buy for me.

"The new chipset is built on a 16nm FinFET process by TSMC"
They should move to 10nm process, like Samsung did.

Kirin 955 was not too great with the gpu to begin with.
So this XX% increment in perfomance is misguiding.
will wait to see how it compares with sd830.
Sd830 and kirin 960 smartphones will almost hit the market at the same time.
                          Then there is exynos too.........

Price the next flagship a little more closer to the OP3, and I will buy it!

Wow, that's a lot of improvement over the Kirin 950! It's nice to see they manage to upgrade their own chipset.
