Sony Xperia X Compact and Xperia C4 getting security updates

Rolling out as firmware version 34.1.A.3.22 for the Xperia X Compact, the update brings along Android security patch for the month of September.

          Xiaomi is at least on August security patch for the global ROM, and it's already released (not waiting till October to release it).
          Heck, my cheap Vivo phone was updated to August patch months ago.
          Xiaomi and the likes are not charging as much as Sony either.

              i think sony is the only company that updates midrange phone and they have concept,beta program(correct me if im wrong) samsung midrange sucks,htc no software update and lastly chinese phones(xiomai,huawei,etc)never update their phones and specs never optimize. sony and apple are best in terms of supporr

Sony customers are their own fanboys who are willing to pay premium for Sony products regardless. This method is working well for Sony as Sony Mobile is not becoming profitable. Why spend resources on security patches when your own customers will blindly buy your products regardless?

                              Security should be treated seriously (timely updates are of the essence), at least if they want to stand a chance in the professional/corporate market.
