My Xperia Z3 Compact has a glass back, it's good once it gets dirty as it becomes quite grippy but when new it just makes the phone slide off any table that isn't 100% flat lol.

Samdung is copying this Company since the very first icrapp. But wait, WHAT? It hurts man? Really, does it hurt? I mean, their are fans, and fanboys, but you my friend, are the worse case scenario. I still remember how samsung, while copying apple, sold their phones, as a cheaper and better version the drapple (so is what they say) hack, even their musick player interface was all crapple. Glass? Really? Ever heard of NOKIA? They made the first curve glasses first;). The only thing Samsung ever made by their own ist that useless extreme curved endges;). Which, by the name, you can tell. They are pretty much useless and ugly to look at when screen is on;)

Now, I have vibe X3 which also has a poly-carbonate back and I like it more than glass. I had Gionee S5.5 with glass back. I had Meizu MX5 with all metal body which was also slippery, but I find this Vibe X3 built the best out of the 3. Poly-carbonate is best when it comes to endurance and taking a few falls. I dropped my Lumia 920 several times, nothing happened to the phone.

Glass back, what next, next you'll be telling us, it got an amoled screen and it got a curve and the big massively ugly bezzels have miraculously thrunk...on and on infinitum to infinity, hey, maybe they'll blow their own, batteries up..nothing new here ?

Wow, every phone that has had a glass back has had problems with it shattering. Apple, of course, did it first with the iPhone 4. Then the Nexus 4 followed suit. Both had shattering problems.
But I thought Apple learned their lesson and dropped the glass back idea forever. They could be excused for trying it since they were there first one. Google had no excuse for putting a glass back on the Nexus 4, since Apple had already proven it was a bad idea.
But for Apple to go back and repeat their own bad idea? Especially after others tried it reconfirming what a bad idea it was. Wow. Apple has no excuse now. It's just dumb.
I promise, in the first month of the iPhone 8 with a glass back, there will be stories all over the place about it shattering for almost no reason.

Apple made no improvements and no innovation at all only take the size matter. iPhone 6 = iPhone6s = iPhone7 = iPhone7s.

2 Motrola ... moreYou are actually doing a good job proving his point. Perhaps with the exception of dual cameras, which is still very new and implemented differently based on manufacturer, none of those things went mainstream until Apple did it.
Heck, just look at the headphone jack. Motorola did it and no one cared. Apple does it and you have a million article talking about the demise of the jack and what the future of listening to music on your phone will be.
