i think this fone looks really nice
the only downside is that nokia hove seriously overpriced these fones,
thats wot will stop alot of people buying it,
i work for phones 4u so i know the 8800 went like hot cakes,
i will be buying it as the 8800 i have now is really poor on the battery life,
i jus hope i dont have to pay another £500 for it lol

    hmm...status?

sure, because you can buy that with a mobile phone.

ive had 2 8800's black and silver, and this looks like no upgrade. i'd rather buy a vertu if i want something flash. i "downgraded" my status to a k800i, and i've lost the bling but i've gained pure functionality.

I have just received this phone via work.

It does not have a memory card slot and is not alot different from the previous 8800. Black colour is alos not as flash as the previous silver.

I had a Nokia 8800 and thought it was cool, but it was so slow that i changed for my earlier 6230. Now i plan to get a 6230i or a N80

Oh wait actually the 8910i didn't have a camera so how is that phone the best, the best nokia's are the N-Series as u can connect to ur wirless and connect to the net the only problem is there too big but i dont get how u can say this phone is worse than an 8910i,

What u on u mate the 8910i had a rubbish camera and this time on the 8800 sirocco they have put a 2mp camera on and made it look a bit different and it looks like a really smart n stylish phone, but i do agree the functions on the last one where kinda poor so lets hope they have changed them a bit for this new phone

UR all mad, it looks like an 8800 with a dent in it. The orginal version was poor, and frankly this one is just as bad.
Face it, nothing is ever going top the 8910i.

Nokia have gone down the plug hole.

the only flaws with the 8800 are the lack of memory capacity and lack of battery life. if it is childish options and camera specifications you are after, go and buy a piece of plastic rubbish and leave this work of art (8800) for us high rollers to enjoy. if you don't like the finger-print marks, wash your filthy hands before you touch it. the price is irrelevant because you are buying the name and the status that goes along with the price tag and if you had the right connections in regards to pricing and hefty discounts, you would be able to buy not only one, but 7 or so of these handsets like i have had the pleasure of doing over the years. the real wasteful gimmicks on the market are the chocolate and D&G phones and the like, which are a waste of time to even discuss. 8800 SE looks brilliant and if battery life and memory are improved, i would not hesitate in purchasing a unit ASAP. this is the only phone i will ever own. jealousy is a curse... well done Nokia... keep it up!

Another Nokia new idea? It's really confused!Silver-Black-Gold-Aston matin edition and now Sirocco edition, basicly they're all the same(just diferent look,a bit more features and ofcourse:stiffer price's tag). It's just another body with a same guts.I've owned a Silver edition NK 8800 for year, just bought a original NK gold housing, with another Usd 200.00 I'm now owning 2 NK 8800:1 silver + 1 gold(all I,ve to do is swap the housing around avery now and then(takes just 10 minute)and I'd a very good deal for my silver 8800 too(paid only Usd 450.00).Why bother, unless you've got plenty of money laying around just for phones, whose know what Nokia will bring any more of the 8800's edition in the near future?Hope they're running out of idears so people who're owning the old Silver 8800 would appreciated what it's offered.

I'm currently the proud owner of the Nokia 8800, i didnt know its value whenever my daddy bought me it, cause i am not the sort of person to be consumed by telephone technology or "who has the latest phone as this phone is very poor in features anyway.... But alot of people where very interested in the handset whenever i took it out to txt or call someone. I must say the phone itself is very SEXY and these new models are very tempting so i think i will get the crome one. Even though i dont need a camera or mp3i think these two new ones are EXSTREMLY SEXY, althougth there are other nokias being released in gold and diamonds maybe this one would be better for me? I would prefer platinum instead of stainless steel but i dont think that would be realistic.

Which one do you guys think i should buy??

Checking out the former 8800,I dont find anything extra ordinary about it,cos it lacks a very basic functional component,a memeory card!Another issue was dat u hav 2 wipe fingerprints off it every now & then! I hope d new 8800SE will take care of this problems & bring up something new!If not,Nokia shld prepare 4 a poor outing!
