houward, 04 Jan 2011Firstly, i don't care 2 much about the discussion of which ... moreI lost all my apps when I updated my N97 mini, I had to buy the edit-version of quickoffice again, and OviStore did NOT remember all the apps I have paid for, actually it did not remember any of the apps I paid for while Android-Market remember everyting! I am not alone with this fatal Nokia-problem, but I know that some lucky users magically atleast say they did not lose any apps when updating. Nokia, and diehard Nokia-fans, always deny, deny, deny... all problems with Symbian.

So it's depend on us as a cust 2 choose which one is suitable with what we need. Symbian, android ,ios and wp7 it's all good..so why don't we just enjoy this marvelous technology instead of bashing each other. Second, i've had updated my old 5800xm with the newest f/w from v5.0 to v5.1 and v5.2 and do know what?! I didn't lose all of my apps and since n97 runs the same OS with 5800xm the same way will happened. You can check it in their forum.

That's why i didn't buy android yet and choose iPhone 4 as my phone,i tried htc desire & galaxy s both have occasional lag if not often,all those hardware specs,big mp on camera,big screen or whatsoever they write on paper don't give you overall the best interface,that's a big deal cause with touchscreen phones you deal with interface most of the time not with the camera or other hardware stuffs.

Obviously this math is too complex for Nokia fanboys. You guys just fail at simple math. In the end Samsung still manages to outsell Nokia PER MONTH world wide. Anywho, I'm done. I just laugh at you how moronic Nokia fanboys can be. Oh by the way, Apple's market cap just surpassed 300 BILLION(302 BILLION to be exact). Nokia's market cap is only at 39 BILLION. Now you Nokia fanboys are probably gonna come up with some algorithm to make 300 billion less than 39 billion. HAHA.

The real reason there is any shortage is due to the superAMOLED screens being in short supply.
"Galaxy S is now running short of Supply in India. Retailers say the phone has some serious issues in the email configuration (probably due to mismatch of 1 GHz hardware and Android OS), hence Samsung has put the production on hold until they came back with updates. They quote similar instance has happened for Samsung Wave high end phones running on 1 GHz processor with Bada OS. Is this the right issue?"

When I updated my N97 mini I lost all my apps that I have bought, lika QuickOffice, and OviStore did not remember any of all the apps I had paid for, so Nokia do not have good support, and even if Nokia updates Symbian to another version of the still outdated Symbian it is to dangerous to updqte any phone from Noki because you loose all apps you have paid for.

My girlfreind has iphoney 4,every time she ask me to put music or movie an her phone i thinks itunes,and i run,i run past my local pub,and keep running to the next one so she cant trak me down,lol.
She asks me why cant i just simply drag and drop and it just plays everything like galaxy s.How do you explain that itunes BS to a iphone dummy like that? And i tell you what,her phone shits it self daily.

I prefer company support to their phone by releasing new update if necessary. Not by third party application. But Samsung??

But first make a backup to your SD card using MyBackupPro of your data. The apps, you can get them back form the Market, but you also can backup them on the SD card. Or you can use another Launcher(in case you use Launcher Pro).

My gf own an iphone i have the galaxy s, i play around this two quite some time almost half a year. for me galaxy s lag a lot, sometime feel very frustrated it freeze when someone try to call me and i can't answer the called!! coz the screen doesn't response to my touch! or when i need to send sms urgently arghhhhh.... iphone is much more smoother and rarely it freeze.
I'm not a iphone fan boy but i feel that iphone is smoother and well polish than galaxy s, hope that samsung will fix the lag issue, maybe they can learn from those custom rom(like darky's rom) in xda forum? =p
