I have 2 phones an android and a Lumia. Haven't used the first one in over three months because the lag is so annoying.

There are many reason, one of it is because Android has better supports for background process which took more resources.
Android getting better and faster by times. An old android phone can hold custom kit-kat with ease (even faster than original). Compared to that, same generation of iPhone won't hold better.
Android have abundant potentials for a total solution; iOS and WP are alternatives for everyday use.

If that Surface phone doesn't have a snapdragon 820,821, and possible the 835 than it's A piece of junk and everyone know it's. There gonna use a snapdragon 600 processor on a flagship phone. Microsoft better wake up

If a developer makes an app for windows pc, he can publish that app with little effort to windows mobile, xbox, HoloLens and even IoT devices.
Running windows 10 (full OS) on xbox for example will kill the xbox brand. And Windows mobile have continuum support. If you need to do basic stuff like web browsing, emails, MS office edits etc, you can do that already. But if you need to run an .exe software on phone, than need surface phone (considering it comes with x86 CPU).

Windows phone-related articles seem to attract the biggest number of trolls here. I guess they are more interested in the platform than they say, otherwise why all those comments? WHY do you try to prove your point in every windows phone article? Do you think anyone cares? Those who like the OS will continue using it and you cannot do anything about it. NOTHING what you say can convince people otherwise. You can call windows phones and users whatever you like, but that only shows you low intelligence level. If you do not like the OS, just ignore it. Rest assured that your opinions are ignored here as well.

It's also about the QUALITY of the app. Many WM apps lack the features and polish of their iOS and Android counterparts because the developers don't give them much attention. And that's not going to change unless Windows Mobile increases market share...which isn't going to change unless they get the same apps iOS and Android have. Oh, what a vicious circle.

When people started talking about how a smart phone should be, I started wondering myself cos lots of people here in gsmarena refer to smartphone as a phone with lots of apps. But from your definition, windows phones are the smartest phones on earth. While on the go I was able to log on to prepare my report using excel, submitted it to my boss. Then when I arrived, I was able to present via power point with my phone. I did not use my laptop throughout my business trip.
Then you have the guts to ask why we fans are crazy about windows phones. Windows phones users rarely comment on the other OS forum, but you guys come here and make a fool out yourselves due to your ignorance about the device.

It is a photo editing app by adobe, there is photo editing app from adobe available on windows phone store, but you will not know cos you don't use windows phone. I wonder what you are doing in this forum.

Although, for minority people like me, I don't think there are anything I cannot do on it. Well.. I only browsing, read facebook feeds, chatting using whatsapp (on group mostly), youtubing when someone refer to it... well... That's all I'm doing on my Android phone. So I don't think I'm in trouble when I'm switch. But for most people, I doubt it would do well like my case. There are a lot of services not available on W10M.

If these phones will get to a point where they run full windows and are powerful enough to use the phone like a laptop on a doc. Where you can hook your keyboard/mouse/monitor behind it and can use it as you use laptop now then think of the advantage of it. You don't need to carry around 2kg+ laptop with bag and adaptor and other cables and so on. I care less about the low amount of apps and games I can get. 200g beats 3-5kg bag any day.
