People have too much greed and unnecessarily getting disappointed . You want cheap,durable,high spec phone and want others to worship that phone as well. Buy whatever you like.
I admitt Huawei is a bit slow on update front,yet it is better than rest of Chinese OEMs. Living happily with Huawei(Honor 6,7). They don't blast in your face atleast. :P

Any phone with kirin 935 or below wont be getting the nougat update I guess just like the snapdragon 801 series and below wont getting nougat update. As for honor, its different from huawei. They are actually have their own dev team. Go read up xda interview with honor team.

My brother has a 2-3 old low end Samsung, it still gets bug fixes. I bought a huawei few months ago that was released this year. Their custom OS is buggy and it didn't get any bug fixes. Do you think I would go for another? huawei.

If that's how Chinese companies are going to be, I will prefer to buy these phones

Too bad for users using 2015 flagships from Huawei like me. I thought Android phones are illegible for update for a period of 2 years. My P8 will never be upadated to get the latest OS from Google. It's only 1 year old phone but will never be updated to Nougat.
