One assumes as there is no Display Port 1.3 or 1.4 statement with higher hz, this is yet another slow 2160P(4K) at a VERY mediocre 60hz, so informed PC gamers will continue to give these a miss.

          What do you think?????
I have bought the 27UD68 4k monitor from best buy for $329, normally it costs $499 and had it exchanged 4 times. On top of that, I had sent it to warranty and the monitor still has extreme light bleed, dead pixels, and spots of yellow discoloration.

Next week on Monday I will be receiving my 2nd warranty repaired monitor. if this also has issues I will request for an upgrade to 27UD88 which the agent told me that they can upgrade me. If they can't, a full refund and give up on LG until they release new monitors.

Their this year's 4k monitors and ultrawides were gems in the world of poor quality backlight bleeders. I managed to snatch the 27 inch 4k IPS panel for 399$ which is crazy considering how good it is. A bigger and even nicer designed one for next year? Yes, please.

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2016You want a UHD monitor with 144Hz refresh rate? Good luck o... moreMovies are better looking , no skipped frames (144/24 equals an even 6), better browsing (text is not a blur when scrolling), generally fluid motion.

In games too (obviously) the difference is great. A game at 144Hz has far more fluid motion than one at 60Hz, almost real life like. And since 4k is exactly 2 times a 1080p screen in both directions , you can actually play at 1080p with no loss of quality (it will be the same as if playing on native 1080p panel).

Lastly it is possible to play 4k at more than 60Hz. For that you would need two TitanXs (or 1080tis when they'd be out). Granted those are expensive Gizmos. But if you have the money for $1000+ panel, you certainly have the money for $1000+ graphics.

Good luck on getting games to run at that many fps. There is no other need except for games to have 144fps. Even 60fps is really decent so why would you complain?

LG should just stick to screens, they're great at that.

Smart move, LG. Getting there before competition.

However, if they do 60Hz like always, it's going to be a deal breaker.
