Samsung Galaxy S8 may be 15-20% more expensive than the S7

19 December 2016
The figures come from experts at Goldman Sachs, who think the S8 will cost more to make than the S7, and this will reflect in the final price.

Samsung can sell millions of devices in just a month. They dont need help. How many millions has Oneplus 3 sold? How many millions has Honor 8 sold? How many millions had LGV20 sold? How many millions has Xiaomi Mi5s sold? How many millions has Huawei Mate 9 sold? You get the idea. No one can sell more than Samsung.

This must be a wrong way, no gimmicks, but with higher selling price. It's time to move, unless you have a deep pocket to help Samsung cover the Note 7 losing.

Then having the added benefit of superior cameras, build quality and constant updates is just the icing on the cake. There's a reason Americans still go crazy for each new iPhone release, at least I can understand their obsession I'm still trying to figure out the cult of Sony lol

And iOS updates have never been anything more than bragging rights. Just because you got an update doesn't mean all those updates always brought you anything and doesn't negate that something else may have gotten less updates but was still more advanced to begin with

Anonymous, 21 Dec 2016well, still a bit overpriced. It is sad but true but samsung is making almost every chip(Snapdragon and exynos) so it will try to recoup the losses from note 7($5 billion) from its chips, screen,RAM,Memmory, camera modules etc and they want to break $25 billion profit record they recorded in 2013. They have monopoly in most Mobile components,so i guess every phone using a snapdragon chip or amoled panels will have its price increased 15-20%.Samsung have to get more than $30 billion in profits somehow.Next year everyone have to pay even more for flagships and midrangers. But one thing is certain,Sony will stick with 3GB of RAM for its next flagship too

I was a big fan of Samsung and had used Note, 1,2,3,4,5 but after switching to LGv10. i think Samsung is not bringing any innovation and getting the prices high. now by doing this hike in price i guess they want to compensate the lost of revenue after Note 7.

it is expected by shamesung since the fall of ill-fated S7, to cover-up the loss will make S8 much more expensive.

Lets see what HTC delivers on their next flagship, they almost always never disappoint and I don't expect anything less this time around either.

I use my moms iPhone 6S Plus from time-to-time and trust me the difference is night and day; it's very fast and responsive, and the screen is really sharp and vivid for a 1080p panel. Real world performance backs up synthetic benchmarks, all apps open quickly, multitasking is a breeze and the phone is constantly getting updates. And the camera is still better than most Android phones except for the S7 and Pixel, possibly even the V20 in some cases. I'm starting to have serious iPhone envy and the XZ just can't compete, heck the top tier Android phones barely can. Still I hate it's restrictive nature which is why I'll always be with #teamandroid.
