It is the one of the lowest of J series. You cannot really expect extravagant midrange features in this phone. Samsung would keep J2 and J3 in the low-budget phone segment even for the 2017 edition. Only the J5 and J7 gets a premium specs just like the J5/7 Prime to be on the midrange segment. These phone needs to know to stay on their lane(segment). A more premium midrange offering by Samsung is the C series. Galaxy C9 Pro I think would keep you satisfied enough. It is a semi-flagship phone.

Feels like phones are regressing in quality nowadays. The U.S. should offer waaaay more variety of features and brands. The cell phone industry has felt so limited & stagnant over the past few years.

Ahh the J series. Now we will hopefully soon have the J7 (2017). Tho in the meantime 2 other contenders for my money are getting close too. The S8 and one of the new Nokias.

Looking forward to this if they price it correct. Not bad to have a backup/standby decent phone from a global phone maker. 16 GB though, it's time to move on as it's irrelevant in Android world where Apps and System OS are eating GBs easily! Samsung, not everything can be transferred to SD Cards, please

J3 should have a sub-5-inch screen. Now it seems like the minimum screen size of smartphones is 5 inches. That's too bulky for my jeans pockets! :'(

All the smaller J series is a bunch of design experiment. I like the LED color ring on J2. This new design on the rear is quite nice too. What do we call it? Camera band instead of antenna band. Samsung did it first. There. I said it.
