Nougat update starts hitting LG G5 units in Canada as well

There have been user reports that carrier Bell has started pushing out the update to G5 units on its network.

I absolutely CAN NOT stand the new update... I'm ready to switch to a new phone (obviously that's not the answer....) but can some one please share some ideas or tips.. This is going to sound stupid but I can't stand the emoticons or the pull down menu mostly...

        Update was available on my Eastlink Wireless G5 as of this morning when I woke up. Downloading it now

Never cared about mods, so that doesn't matter. Price was right at $400 cdn (regularly over $700, much better price than the $1000+ phones from Samsung, Htc and Apple). I have watched many youtube videos where the g5 it is at least equal to or beats out all it's main competitors in Samsung, HTC, Huawei, ZTE, etc., even it's new sibling the v20 in pretty much every comparison test available. And now with Nougat, it ran a 148967 in Antutu!!! Only a couple phones released this year have been capable of beating that score :)

                  I'm surprised this light bleeding moddable mess is still being supported by LG. It needs to be buried deep and never seen again. Disaster piece.

                    I have had the 7.0 update here in the UK since Sunday & I have an unlocked G5 on the 3 network.

                    Like the update but I do not like the new lock screen.
