Nougat update starts hitting Motorola Moto Z Play

Dehil, 27 Jan 2017They update our software so that our device can get slower ... moreThey are a business and in business to make money. I will say though that it has been my experience with now 6 smartphones with Verizon Wireless that updates have the tendency to slow the phone down but doing a wipe and reinstall of the OS usually gets the phone back to it's normal level of performance as when it was new.

I did not know that moto z play requires a thing of the past chromecast for screen mirroring else I would have given a thought before buying this. Like seriously!! Why do i have to buy chromecast when even old one plus two can do screen mirroring without any external device with my tv. I am sorry I put my faith in Motorola.

I'm really confused. Obviously made a mistake getting the Moto Z Play Droid (Verizon). It says U.S users will get nougat in march, will both the regular Moto Z Play and the droid model get nougat in march?

even sony xperia z5 having same issue. battery draining really quick. guess these vendors just make the update and release it without even proper testing.

Don't update.My Moto Z is More heating and battery drain fastly.Cant use camera by heavy heating.

AnonD-315435, 26 Jan 201790% of all Android devices (after 2013 devices) will not be... moreBut might there is always a chance to update unnoficially ;) my old galaxy ace 2 from 2012 have an early beta of cm 14.1. Sure, nexus should be a lot easier to get the update, like nexus 4.

90% of all Android devices (after 2013 devices) will not be upgradeable to this nougat version.
