The patents system sure is a weird one.

Forgive me if I don't understand how patents works, but did Samsung ever patented the edge displays? Can some company like Apple patented the edge displays so that others can't use it in the future?
Or is the edge displays isn't something so be patented about?
Can all things that never been done before be patented by a company?

              Just curious....

IF it is just for the sake of protection and preventing others, with no actual, then it's a innovation killer. Negative.

It's just their way of making straps even more expensive.

Why is this patented? It's not a new groundbreaking technology or anything. Why no one patented inductive charging on phones before? Because that's stupid.
