          I think there is some confusion here. BB OS may be dead but BB is still very much alive with Android. the upcoming Mercury phone looks very promising, one that I will keep an eye out for.

            BlackBerry QWERTY phones... there's just nothing like them these days. They're incredible.
            I can type much better on a Blackberry then I can on a standard PC keyboard. They're just so well designed.

            I hope Blackberry Mercury does well..
            The only other alternative for us hardware-button folk is going to a T9 flip smartphone.

              Haha, BlackBerry is finally dead and buried. Next in line is HTC and then Sony (very thick bezels, just die Sony).

They would have been on top once again without this disaster but it happened and they still came in second. If anything this shows the complete opposite of what you are claiming it shows the strength of the company.

                                A shame that BB OS was not a success. Personally I have used it and found it to be a very solid OS with plenty of options, very fluid and the HUB is just awesome.

                                    Blackberry better to shut down.No point to continue,it makes no sense.It has no chance against Apple and Samsung.Their only plus were the Qwerty keyboard,and the BB security,but no one cares about the qwerty keyboards anymore,plus the BB security is not something you can trust,since the CEO has handed over the Blackberry Masterkey(which can decrypt ANY BLACKBERRY in the World) for a police investigation in Canada few years ago.

                                        It shows that iPhone 7 and 7 Plus already shipped better.
                                        It also shows that Samsung is in speed line.
                                        4Q16 to 4Q15:
                                        Apple = +6M
                                        Samsung -Note7 = -7M
                                        Samsung +Note7(If continued sell) = +8M
                                        Huawei = +8M
                                        Oppo = [Doubled]12+2M
                                        BBK = [Doubled]11+3M

                                        User didn't left Samsung. They stayed for another Note. Note5 users are mostly business users which swap their handset by their criteria. S-Pen is a must have for them. Note7 failed, They stayed.

                                        Samsung is not falling; Why?
                                        Imagine another company in Android era do the same mistake as Samsung did with Note7. The thing which could happen is deep dive through bankruptcy for Smartphone division of the company.

                                        If the Note7 case was S7 and S7 edge, Samsung would definitely lost most of its market, as S7 and S7 edge are end user casual(Gaming-Social-Multimedia-Photography) users.
