Too short. it's been too long to read a counterclockwise article. This article has many subjects so it should have been detailed.I don't think "fall" is right word for galaxy S though especially when s has also serving the role of note (at least to some extent)

I still believe that windows 10 mobile is a better overall os than android or ios....its just that microsoft didn't support it for long.....especially the advertising and promotions part...

Apple and Samsung will be same; King and Wang.
Sony, have no idea where they will be but definitely not gonna fall. Hope to see they surprise world once again.
Nokia, will rise slowly but need more money to expand the market to India, Europe and other potential market: Indonesia, Arabs land and Latin land.
BB, forget them for a while.
Huawei, OPPO, Xiaomi, VIVO, will get better and bigger especially Oppo and Xiaomi. Huawei? Still shiny knight from Chinese. Will shine this year but how bright is big question.

Plenty of experts have predicted which devices would fail, me included.
It really boils down to the details:
Apple - Great hardware, great support, reputation large enough to stay in lead
Samsung - Best hardware, some support, massive marketing enough to stay in lead
Nokia - Subpar hardware, lacking support, little marketing... the writing was on the wall
Blackberry - Subpar hardware, no support, little marketing... where to start??
SONY - Great hardware, lacking support, no marketing... innovators that can't compete anymore
...even OPO, Xiaomi and Meizu isn't in a great position, or where they would want to be.
But what's really on the rise is Huawei and OPPO.

Galaxy s has yet to fall. Lumia and xperia z series definitely bit the bullet but for all other reasons.

Xperia Z is the first mobile that bring IP rating to the flagship specification. Before that, there are only a handful rugged phones with such features.

I was meaning to purchase an xperia z2 as my temporary phone while waiting for the note 8. Unfortunately, sony doesn't sell it anymore and it was difficult to find a retailer that did so i ended up with the j7 prime. Anyone still uses the z2? Is it better than the z?

I've rooted it without unlocking the bootloader and debloated the stock rom to the max. I still don't need a different phone. Very good quality. Maybe I'll upgrade to XZ in a few months.

Sony can be top 3 or 10 by copying apple and samsung featyre just like samsung copy some apple feature that why samsung is the best beacuse it is copying some apple feauture and design.....sony has their own character which people not interesting on it

Ha ha, nice article. I like to remember old things. One fact has not changed for me though, I still don't like Android but use it all the same, from S2, now with Pixel, been a user for over seven years now, but still kind of a tacky ecosystem. Just have resisted myself enough to not go for that other closed ecosystem but maybe its time.
About the phones, the Lumias were nice, especially the cameras, but WP was meh, Z series was a mess, S and Note had solid hardware and God awful software, HTC tried something different, failed, and now all these Chinese companies have bloated market with their low priced phones which some think could work as a flagship, or flagship killer. Samsung and Apple remained same mainly though, Samsung could never go out of profit due to their hardware, and Apple, well being Apple.
