A recall Decimated their laptops division and if such thing happens on phones that will be finished too. Sony is in no position to do product recall of such scale. Samsung did means they actually think from business perspective. BTW the cost of recall was more what Sony earned with it's phones sales. And still they made profit Samsung should be reprimanded for mistake but they actually fix unlike Sony which has same design in past 4 years and the camera auto mode which clicks grainy pics. Now like earlier I know you won't be replying anyways so good going sir

I will not use custom ROMs because they don't make the phone better, at least not that it makes any sense. And probably you never read my comment but official OS are definitely better because they have the latest security updates and polished versions of Android. People with brains would definitely not pay that high for a low processor, but it definitely makes sense to be priced like that because Xperia X doesn't just battle, but even beat most SnapDragon 820-powered devices in speed tests, and even moreso faster than the iPhone 6s (except for games and processings). You can always wait for a few months before purchasing the phone since Sony is still in process of making a ton of stocks of units so that they'll not run out during the sale flow. As far as I know, there hasn't been any Xiaomi phone that Xiaomi supported the software for 4 years, at least not yet. If you ever know the Xperia Z2, then you'll know that it was released with JellyBean and was supported up to Marshmallow. It was supposed to receive Nougat but we know why it won't, right? Anyways I highly doubt Xiaomi can do that, and if Sony can do it with the Z2, then there's no freaking way the Xperia X won't receive Android 8. Mark my words the Xperia X will receive Android 9. Come back to me when Xiaomi finally makes a phone that had 3 major software upgrade.

"Official OS is always better than custom ROMs". OH REALLY? That has to be the most uninformed statement anybody has ever made. The very point of custom roms is to make your phone BETTER than it was before. Don't believe me? Check the benchmark scores for devices before and after installing custom ROMs. Oh and guess what? Custom ROMs receive way more updates than stock OSs. Even devices that are 4-5 years old have the latest android versions, courtesy of custom ROMs.
Now I'll admit that Sony has one of most streamlined OSs ever, falling just behind stock Android. Additionaly, their own homemade media apps are the best, in my opinion. But that doesn't excuse the ridiculous pricing of Sony products these days. I brought my Xperia Z Ultra for INR 19000 (~$283) at it's time of release, and it had the latest flagship chipset at that time. Now look at the Xperia X - a midrange chipset and that too overly expensive, even at a discounted price. Take for comparison the Redmi Note 3. It has the same chipset, bigger battery and a bigger screen. Of course, it doesn't have any sort of protection or features like NFC, but remember that this phone costs less than half of what the Xperia X costs after a discount. The biggest advantage of the Note 3 however, is that it has massive development support. As a result, the performance and handling of this device can be tweaked according to the user's wishes, addons and unique features can be added through root access and last but not the least, this device will enjoy the latest android versions as soon as they release for years to come, while the Xperia X won't go beyond android 8.

Watch Tech Trinkets dip the Xperia X and Galaxy S7 in water. The S7 couldn't even have its speaker go back within a few minutes and the X was flawless when taken out.
2. Ever heard of Play Store Apps? I'm pretty sure you do, and you can download some camera apps that support 4K recording, and the X Performance will do that.
3. Price went down to $300 and that's a huge steal. What is that word "overpriced" now?
4. Forgettable camera, so now I understand why DxOMark gave the X Performance the same score as the S7 and HTC 10 in camera. I understand why this phone still has a better camera than the latest flagships from Apple or anybody else, be it with the scores or real life results. Xperia Z2 from 2014 already has 1/2.3" sensor size, and now it's 2017 and Samsung still has 1/2.5" sensor size for their smartphone cameras. Sony can't do s**t really :D

None of them could give you as true quantity phone as branded devices like Sony. And to tell you so, custom ROMs are nowhere near as good as official OS. Official Softwares are smoother, more stable, and just better overall. Ever heard of Xperia Z2? That phone was supported by Sony from Android JellyBean up to Android Marshmallow, and no other Android phone was supported as long as the Z2. Can your brand phone do that for your device? I guess they can't even guarantee a 2-year software support for your device undoubtedly. 10K INR Galaxy smartphones aren't even supported by Samsung at all, yet Sony supports even 1K INR Xperia smartphones, so in what dumb world did you get that conclusion from? You're asking me to get a life when you yourself doesn't even have one. I have a life, life of studying in school and being a scholar in my country. I have achieved many goals in life already, and I doubt you did so too
