Vive was terrible. Terrible pixelated pixels, front heavy and hard for long use, high latency to the point that causes me nausea after half an hour of use, tethered , (obviously) not many titles support it (as nobody would like to support such a mess), ridiculous control scheme that creates more problem than it solves as we are not evolved to teleport and eventually creates directional issues.

Vive is great for a demo booth, but a terrible, terrible product. Worse $1000 ever spent, thankfully I sold it and minimize the costs.

Honestly who designs those products? I mean the idea is incredible (which is why Vive works so well as an exhibition item) but the execution is off the charts bad. Like using a $20 product, having paid $1000 for it.

They basically bury the concept of VR gaming by releasing products like Vive and Occulus Rift. I hope LG will change that, but somehow I doubt it, it's most probable that the tech is simply not here yet (we need 10 times lighter and smaller -in volume- headset, as well as a less pixelated experience with imperceptible latency; we're probably 10 years away from that, but sadly this bad iteration buried the project of VR gaming for good ... so sad :/ )

Their previous attempt at VR was a horribly missed product. The displays weren't even 720p, which is hilarious. I don't think they sold any.

I really hope this one is different. Hopefully a 4K competitor to the Vive?

I hope they support USB-C with USB 3.1 speed this time. I know the last VR headset was USB-C, but it was USB 3.0. Plus they have to increase the resolution. Also I hope they make a standard for VR displays via USB-C. That way users could use them on other smart phones as well. That would be great if they did something like that.
