The shape of both phones is different. The curved corners on the S8 are A LOT more prominent than on the G6. And you can't see the side bezels of the S8 from the front. So SHUT UP. They are both unique handsets in their own right.

i prefere the look of the G6 over this. im not a fan of the edge design due to it been more of a gimmick than usefull. Samsung do edge displays becasue they can not because there of any use.

No Hardware Button, Fingerprint Reader at backside... and nobody needs Edge Display. This Phone suxx. I bought every Samsung Galaxy Phone but the S8 ist the first, i will NOT BUY! I hope they will release an S7 upgrade soon with better hardware, more ram and rom.

I'm still undecided on the design. If they've really managed to make it the same size and slightly thinner then the S7 then I'm a fan. If it's gone thicker then feels bulky in hand and pocket. Plus not overly happy with new position of fingerprint scanner.... So the jury is still out for me.
On another note, something looks a bit wrong with this image. The metal frame sticks out well beyond where the display/glass joins it... they don't finish flush, or at least seem less flush than the S6 Edge and S7 Edge. Surely that can't be right? Would make it feel uncomfortable in the hand and for finger swipes

If indeed, it will be look of the phone, then failure will be guaranteed. I see as people at Samsung did not understand the lesson received from smart guys (they truly represent Samsung's real fans), who refused to buy S7.
Real life (not least by paying for advertising) will bring down to earth and those from Samsung.

Samsung is constantly ... moregrace UI is a step back from touchwiz IMO...i suppose most of the stuff are still there, but they have been categorised in obscure corners of UI..now i havnt looked at xperias recently but i had a z1 and i loved how it worked, maybe blaming sony might be like people hating samsung after only having been used them in the s3 or s4
