it's a welcome development but Google needs to improve the prediction and let it meet up with Samsung's and add the button to predict more than 3 words.

the translate in keyboard is something I could do with, shame the beta testing is full, might as well just put everyone on the beta and allow easy downgrade if problems occur tbh

Geez! This is meant to be a keyboard so let it be a keyboard!

I expect that at this rate of scope creep, the application will get so bloated and clunky that soon, it won't be usable on any but high end devices.

Great. But adding support for multiple languages on iPhone is too difficult. I guess.

Where to get this beta version

AnonD-92238, 03 Mar 2017Installed this yesterday, still can't find the translation ... moreMake sure you installed the Gboard Beta version and not the stable released Gboard. The normal Gboard still on v6.0.79. The beta version is v6.1.

What the purpose of translating text when you cant even read it after it translated into different languages? How can I be sure the translation is correct?

Besides, Google already has a way for you to quickly translate.

Impressive. I so needed that feature for my foreign friends online.

Installed this yesterday, still can't find the translation feature

As far as idea is cool, some language use different word placement in sentence, use specific words(eg, English word "the"), and also Google Translations algorithms are well known for messing translations of words that have different meaning depending on whole sentence and situation its presented.
I actually found out that Bing Translator from Microsoft is a bit better at translating longer sentences than Google translator. For most of time when I translate something using Googe Translator I need to choose different word from list because it mess up even simpler sentences.

.Mr.Dot, 03 Mar 2017how about the person you are chatting with , can they also ... moreLol why will the person that you are trying to text need to use also use a translator when he is text you back. It is not like you gonna translate from English to Spanish then he use a translator to translate his language to French to send it to you. That doesn't make sense 😂. Anyways he can use the translator only if his keyboard can self translate like this version of Gboard.
