OP, the original Connected was starting at $1500, not $1800 as you suggested. The Connected Modular 45 is $150 MORE expensive, not cheaper.

The smartwatch business is more similar to the mobile one than the watch one. People buy smartwatches to use them with their phone, not because they really need to see the time or have a piece of metal that tells people that they rich like the premium watches. In the case 80% of the price is the brand and that's the reason people complain about it.

Well everyone, it is truly an expensive smartwatch, but keep in mind that TAG Heuer is a high end segment brand, not even prestige or antique segment. If Rolex made a smartwatch, or Audemars Piguet, it would be a minimum of 10,000€ or 20,000€. So at least someone is doing them with quality materials, control and in general an effective experience with the aforementioned software edge.

Expensive but to their credit the TAG Heuer smartwatch does provides a lot of customizability and also has pretty good specs......

its nice to have the option ; maybe you guys who complain dont realize that apple smartwatches cost about 1500 with some options on even the nice leather ones are 1400 ( NOT gold just steel series watches with leather bracelets ) , so for something high quality like tag to ask 1700 or 1800 on theirs isnt really much of a stretch , the fact that its swap-able with the c5 or the h2tt makes it better value

would of been more exciting if you could use it on different os rather then just android.... still looks like a pretty decent watch. The price tag does not surprise me with TAG. You know plenty of people with money in there pocket will be buying this one up!
