I've had quite a few drops on my Z3, but never crack screen or the back glass panel. Too bad that both front and back panel doesn't stick to the frame now that I tried to use glue to solve which it is not good! Overall, my experience with xperia Z3 was great. It is still working fine.

But as a XZ user now, I don't ... morethat's fair enough, the design probably doesn't change the phone experience but everybody has their eye on different parts, one big plus for myself is a fingerprint sensor on the back, I find sony's (even though I didn't have one with Z3 of course) is in an unnatural position compared to how I hold my phone.
I had a similar problem with my Z3 too, phone pretty much split into 3 parts without much help so I gave up and went to a metal backed phone instead.

Savor, 22 Mar 2017I would since the Z3 looks better than the XZ even though i... moreFrom the from of XZ you can find dual speakers and narrow side bezel compare to Xiaomi Mi3. The side XZ still have the fingerprints and dedicated camera button, which you never find on Xiaomi Mi3. The back cover of XZ is Alkaleido and the round camera and the sensor, you can't find the same components out there except a flashlight is the same. Moreover the XZ is IP68 waterproofing, you also can't find it on Xiaomi Mi3 or even Lumia that's you mentioned. You can find the XZ dismantling on YouTube, you will find the XZ internal designs is very easy for repair even the sealed battery can be remove easier than others. The Xperia XZ UI is 100% stable than Xiaomi Mi 3 and the battery XZ is 100% safer than Xiaomi Mi 3. The colors of choose, XZ is really gorgeous, but you can't see Xiaomi Mi 3 have the nice colors.

Of course I wouldn't get a xperia XZ ( if my Z3 isn't broken and the prices of the xperia XZ is cheaper/$449).
But the overheating problem really make the Z series a disappointment, and even worse is that my Z3's front and back panel pops out.

PLAYER SLAYER, 22 Mar 2017Oh, how times have changed...If one's don't play any game ( or very little of gaming during the working hours, like I did sometimes). My Z3 or the current XZ can last a whole day easily.
With my old Z3, I often played game during the working hours ( and even during the hot day, which drained the juice faster), I can still get it to last until I reach home ( if I kept it under 60 minutes or less).

Savor, 22 Mar 2017I would since the Z3 looks better than the XZ even though i... moreagree with you completely, and a very nice way to cheat the system there too, love it! my one problem with the z3 was the constant overheating when I played very easy to run games, down to the chipset mostly I know, but that's one I'm sure they've fixed by now.
Z3 design with the improved heat diffusion would be sony's best product

AnonD-634681, 22 Mar 2017z3 was the best no doubtI would since the Z3 looks better than the XZ even though it has a glass back. The XZ looks too much like my Xiaomi Mi 3 which copied the Lumia series. The Snapdragon 801 was fantastic in 2014 before Qualcomm messed up with the 810.
LG G5 for Sprint was being sold for $120 at Best Buy. Bought three of them. The first one was for $240 before the $5 per month sale. The second one I sold for a $100 profit. The third one as a trade-in for a $600 S7 edge at T-Mobile. So I got TWO SD820 phones for a total of $370 minus the profit from the second G5 I sold. That's still cheaper than this XZ.
I would get a Sony Xperia if they make a design better than the Z3 which was the last great one they made. Nothing has really stood out from Sony in over two years.

Go buy those cheap low end devices. Let's see if any of those can dive into water like the XZ :)
