As long it's a beastie and comfortable to use. I don't mind swapping between camps of smallies/Phablets) Price range. and ofcourse. the edge existence/lack of edge.

Not a fan of the edge screen myself (I own s7e myself just because of the screen size). Note 7 type edges were nice feeling though, so hopefully it'll be same. Imho iPhone 6/6s is the best feeling in a hand phones, with p10/plus Being very very close, so metal ftw! Also these dummy phones look very fat, can't be real dimensions surely.

Or do what smart American buyers do and wait for carrier trade-in promos or whatever freebies or discounts they give out. Check SlickDeals. An iPhone SE was going for $115 from Boost just a few weeks ago.
True, you will get carrier bloat but it can always be disabled. It can also be unlocked for free through the carrier. Just call them. I think waiting 6-12 months is actually better. You can get it at 50%-70% off. A year old flagship would still be a very capable device.
Remember, the best selling phone of 2016 was actually a 2015 iPhone 6s. Most users don't need all that horsepower at 2-3x higher price. The gains are minimal buying it too early.

if Sammy will try manufacturing a non-curved screen like xiomi with almost no side bezels, it would be much more beautiful. just an opinion tho. but still, lots of people would prefer curved screen. its just that, that's my preference.
