    Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017HMD is the parent company of Nokia. No, HMD is a separated company from Nokia. Nokia is Nokia Corporation. And HMD is HMD Global Oy, both from Finland, and HMD made by former Nokia employees.

        Nokia phones are very durable. It is the reason I don't like Samsung.

          AnonD-399271, 29 Mar 2017Legend is back. Nokia will become No.1 again in 1-2 years. ... moreNokia will rise again faster than their downfall. Think of Nokia's 2011-2016 similar to what Apple was going through before Steve Jobs returned in 1997. Rise, fall, rise again. The full circle. Nintendo has went up and down with their consoles too. Nokia is in Jesus mode after crucifixion.

          Easter = rebirth

            No worries, folks. The Nokia we all know and love is back! And with the legendary build quality they are famously known for. HMD Global will continue to offer that Nokian spirit!

            Not salivating over the Nokia 8 or whatever flagship they come with this year. Nexus is dead but Nokia will live on with stock Android and more affordable pricing. Long live, Nokia!

                      Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017Well bb priv is there and I don't think it sold a fraction ... moreThough I love my Priv as the least bad option available (easy win with no competitors...) it is sliding the wrong way, and is so huge most people needs two hands to operate it while keeping a secure grip.

                      On top of that it was released at an extremely high price. Though it now (two years old) can be aquired for a more reasonable amount - though that is somewhat expensive too for a two year old model...

                      So not really a surprise it never made a huge splash in the market...

                            One of the best built smartphones in recent years! I keep telling people - screw it! I mean, screw down components in smartphones to keep things stable and reliable! :D also works for many things, and in most cases it works way better than abundance of glue. Sadly, it seems we're stuck with glue for the screen, but at least its rather easy to replace. Now I know what phone to recommend to people looking for a mid-range device. A reliable mid-range device.

Currently the ONLY slider available is the BB Priv. I for one would just LOVE something like the N97mini suitably updated to 2017.

                                        Personally I would GLADLY 'pay' an extra mm thickness to have it truly user serviceable with an easily swappable battery, and without the need of heating to open....
