The stuff that you use constantly remained the same or near the same. Same ram, same battery (actually less since it has more stuff to power), basically same soc (if you used the exynos versions of s7).
This is the smaller most gimmicky jump for the S series. A series that is doomed to fail if it's not to listen to people anymore. Giving stuff that we didn't ask or need (who asked for bixby) and stagnating in things that matter (photography, instant computing through ram caching, plenty of battery).
There are people defending this phone. I don't get them, Samsung is obviously trying to pull an apple and milk the cow at this point.

I seriously have mixed feelings about the new phones, but they are nice, that's for sure. Nothing more than ''nice'', at least not from me.

1. Higher price th... moreI think swiping keyboards solve all problems. Since I have been using word flow I have not gone back to regular typing. It's just so much faster.
This is the sort of place that the scaling windows os can shine. All apps scale to the screen. But there's only 2 apps :P haha. A great endeavour by MS no doubt. Wonder if it will ever take off. Redstone 3 this fall should at least get some more wow features.

Plus you Free RAM argument.Mobile and desktop OS works differently.
Mobile OSes use almost 75-80% of RAM,Unused RAM is wasted RAM in Mobile OS

Sad that they decided to keep the same Main Camera as last year. Pretty sure Apple, Sony among others would be delighted. :-/

I guess no galaxy s8 upgrade this year.
1. Higher price than last years models with equally around spec-wise.
2. Taller and narrower screen will make this device difficult to handle. Sometimes, I struggle to type on the galaxy s7 edge. What about apps such as games and video content displaying black bars on the side of the screen. Example LG G6 youtube videos and I like to watch a lot videos and movie on my phone.
3. Higher resolution but no increase on battery capacity.
4. I like to do my own things, I don't use voice assistance at all.
5. If Samsung wants me to buy this phone, they should have increase the camera megapixel to 16 while maintaining the same features double pixel focus, 1.7 aperture. Increase RAM to 6GB instead of 4GB. My galaxy s7 edge has 4GB and sometimes I'm barely left with 500MB of free space, so SamsungDex usage could be handle hassle-free.
6. Good luck Samsung and hope you can do better with the Note 8. Just make sure you increase the megapixel camera, add more RAM and implement a screen that will work flawlessly around the android eco-system.

I'm disappointed. I expected more.
After all the hype, all the leaks, all the rumours, all the promos (especially the man opening the door and looking at the galaxy and other worlds) and all the infestation of the S8 from head to toe all over the entire internet. We get a small amount of announcements? Even GSMArena is able to sum up the most important features of the S8 in under four minutes. With the out of this world it should have taken about 10 minutes or more to list the features and capabilities.
GSMArena I'm looking forward to your review. I hope you review will reveal some magic that wasn't unveiled at the unpacked event just now.
