Qwerty2017, 16 Apr 2017"I'm pretty sure that the 430 SoC is designed for lower pow... morefirstly I would like to point out your caps lock is broken and secondly you need to spell properly because some sentences don't even make sense. when you look at the benchmark scores for this phone what you failed to research is how it finished in the middle of the pack most of the time sometimes even beating snapdragon 617 on multi score tests its has a better gpu for better graphics even though its only a 430 and like I said ram management and software management help load up applications as well as the soc that's why if you compare to different brand phones with the same soc some perform better than others because its better software and ram management and the fact you have to rely on Chinese phone specs to validate your points is useless since their software usually is awful and also mediatek may have improved the clock speed for more oomph but that still doesn't mean it can achieve that kind of benchmark score all the time because there are different variables to think about when trying to reach those clocking speeds and there is a reason Chinese phones are cheap because barely anyone outside of china knows them due to regional availability nokia may be charging a bit much for this phone but that's business and they know they can get it because of their reputation but how the hell do you know that the nokia won't be good and work even better than you think based solely on fact that you think the soc is rubbish you just a typical copy and paste idiot that wants to act like a know it all and feel good for bashing a product you haven't even tried and for all the useless bullet points such as 4k recording you can't even watch it back in 4k because most phones don't even have that type of resolution so you watch it on a 1080p screen anyway multitasking is mainly down to ram management and the soc just powers the tasks its the same way the ps4 has better specs but the xbox one optimises and quite often loaded games and pages better and quicker due to the better software so vanilla android is better because it has less to synchronise and is easier to optimise with it being a less cluttered system so instead of relying solely on soc search the software and also look out for ram management or even test the phone oh and btw 75 hour endurance rating is average but that's more than three days before it dies with around 22 hours talk time on 3g and about 10 hours internet browsing and video which no one does that much in a day the simple fact you have to copy this stuff from this website to try belittle a brand or phone you are too quick to judge is purely idiotic

Do u have ANY PROOF that Foxconn use ClearBlack Display tech for Nokia 6 display?
IF Nokia (HMD) itself don't specify the tech used in the display, how can FANBOY know more?
This is similar to scratch-resistant glass case; IF the manufacturer didn't say that they use specific scratch-resistant glass for their products BUT indeed unable to get scratched, can u say that "they was using Gorilla-Glass or similar tech..."?
All I read in MANY reviews about Nokia 6 display quality is: MEDIOCRE.
For 230-300 euro price range, having ONLY build quality as its "selling point", not even equipping Nokia 6 with EXCELLENT display like SHARP/JDI-made IPS panel like Mi5 series, is REALLY FUNNY.
Even Samsung, as OVERPRICED as it can be, equipped their 230-300 euro price Android phone with AMOLED, albeit only 720p & using low-end Exynos or Spreadtrum SoC.
That's why I DARE u FANBOY to tell me ANY other Nokia 6 "selling point" other than its build quality which makes it worth 230-300 euro price tag, but ALL of them always take the roundabout way to avoid answering my question, because THERE ARE NONE, not without undeniable, hard proof!
BTW, vanilla Android is SUBJECTIVE case; MANY, including me who have tasted vanilla Android ever since ICS to MM, think it SUCKS, cuz vanilla ones have very few default apps, unlike custom ones, that have more default apps out-of-the-box, including exclusive paid ones as free apps, so we don't need to download anymore, saving time, money, and my internet quota as well

The function of a phone is to serve its purpose. Quality and reliability is of most important which must match it's price . Even the famous brand has its weakness with out writing what is the manufacturer warranty. A load of craps in its warranty book. Nokià phones are reliable from its past performance and no dispute about it before any hand phones comes to the market. A hand phone can have a lot of features but does it satisfy every customers needs. The answer is no. because the customers only pay for its
Functions and ones need, not advance features where they are limited to certain customers who can only afford them.

Everyone shall stop fighting and bashing Nokia for this phones specs soon Nokia will release phones with various specs including flagship, they just started their way in the android smartphone world give them time and be thankfully they will live up to their update policy which for now good news. Don't like Nokia phones? No problem just existing more brands in the market you're favorite brand may reduce prices. More competition better for the user.

Yes, you are right, SoC is important, but let me tell you that phone you bashing is €249. Yes, those redmi or other Chinese company can beat that spec, but not all people are spec crazy. Generic IPS? I bet you even never hold that, they use Nokia's ClearBlack Display technology, but won't use that name since CBD brand are bought by Microsoft, camera for that price range can beat OnePlus 3T, and the body you can trust, plus updates. Just kiss your Redmi if you won't buy this rather than bashing phone and showing your stupidity.

WRONG! SD430 made using 28nm fabrication which is FAMOUS for its POWER INEFFICIENCY, THAT'S HARD FACTS! That's why Nokia 6 standby time when reviewed by GSMA is only 75hours with only single SIM.
Try READING, LEARNING, & REMEMBERING a SoC fabrication process & its size before COMMENTING, FANBOY...

U are pointing that Nokia enabled "QC Fast Charging" here, which is a natural thing to do SINCE IT HAS POOR STANDBY TIME. No recent phone at Nokia's price lasted below 80 hours!

In Cortex core, the more GHz the core clocked, the better & faster the CPU will finished the task, especially true for low-performance core such as A53, A35, or the old A7.
THIS is why MEDIATEK tuned their Cortex A53 at high frequency for their CHEAP low-end to mid-range ones; to compensate the low-performance of the CPU cores, they choose to clocked-up the CPU to give it more "oomph".

WRONG! There are MANY CHEAP Android phones, also made by Chinese, with MILES BETTER specs that prices 230-300 euro, the price range of Nokia 6. There are even MANY equipped with BETTER camera, BETTER display, even QC HIGH-END SoC SD801, 808, or 820 & 821!
BTW, there are MANY REASONS to justify having BETTER SD6xx, SD8xx, or Helio X20 SoC in your phone that is VERY PRACTICAL:
-) U can do video recording at very high definition (4K) when u want to record a great moments, such as school graduation ceremony, wedding, child birth, winning a contest, and so on.
-) U can do BETTER photo or video editing DIRECTLY on the phone with better CPU, as it will shorthen the time needed for the CPU to process the task which is considerably heavy for mobile CPU
-) U can have BETTER gaming experience & WIDER game choice when u have GOOD GPU.
Don[t believe my word? Try playing demanding famous Android games in Nokia 6, u will hate how BAD the GPU QC has equipped the SoC with.
-) U can have BETTER video playing & streaming experience. Video playing & streaming, especially at high definition & above, are very GPU demanding task. Low performance Andreno 505 won't let u have good experience when doing this task.
-) U can have BETTER GPS accuracy. Cheap SoC, no matter whether it is QC or MediaTek, usually equipped with cheap GPS module with low accuracy. I have tested it myself when comparing Redmi 3 (SD430) vs Mi Max (SD650), the Redmi ones GPS shown wider deviations compared to Mi Max ones.
-) U can transfer files via bluetooth faster with BETTER SoC. Cheap QC SoC, unlike Mediatek, always comes with previous gen bluetooth version, which is not only has slower speed, but lower power efficiency, as bluetooth is one of the power-hunger feature in smartphone. BTW, newer version of BT also comes with better support for wireless audio, which is an important feature for few people who prefer wireless over wired.
-) U have BETTER wi-fi as BETTER SoC always come for newer WiFi version support (802.11 ac & ad) with 5GHz support which doesn't interfere with bluetooth frequency, which means u can transfer ur files via BT at the same time u are using wifi.
do I need to elaborete MORE on the IMPORTANCE of BETTER SoC?
In short, SD430 is SHITTY, that's a HARD FACTS that u are UNABLE to deny, therefore u ALWAYS trying to JUSTIFY it by giving NONSENSE & ILLOGICAL ARGUMENTS!

That's ... moreI'm pretty sure that the 430 SoC is designed for lower power consumption across all the features of the phone and supports QUALCOMM fast charging 3.0 its not designed to be the fastest or even close to the fastest SoC's out there and I'm pretty sure not everyone wants to buy a high end 600 pound smartphone when they won't do loads on it anyway it's for basic tasks which it can handle without any hassle the power consumption management is quite good and instead of jumping down peoples throats trying to act like your clever why don't you realise that build quality and reliability are more important to some people than speed and raw power and 1080p video is good enough its only stuck up people like you that expect the best out of everything and start insulting people when in reality your the one trying to argue like a fanboy would if the nokia 6 performs well using the 430 Soc and good software management as well as good ram management and low power consumption whilst being able to handle daily tasks efficiently then brilliant but don't act like you know the facts when you can go on website and read all these fancy specifications and act like you know this phone will be bad when in fact you don't have a clue if it will be or not

Let me ENLIGHTEN u FANBOYS for a while; SoC is the #2 MOST IMPORTANT THING TO CONSIDER after RAM, because ALL of the important parts in a smartphone, such as CPU, GPU, modem, bluetooth, wifi, even GPS module are ALL inside the SoC, that why it is called SYSTEM ON CHIP, not just PROCESSORS like what u found in PC/laptop.
Choosing to buy a smartphone because of the BRAND or of the build quality, but not considering WHAT SoC it is equipped with, is just STUPID, because CHEAP QC SoC = low performance, & low grade, & low quality.
U think I'm saying bullshit? Just compare SD430 vs any 2016's SD6xx or SD8xx series.
LTE Cat. 4, Bluetooth 4.1, low-clocked CPU, no dual band wifi support, underperformed GPU which can't support 4K video decoding, let alone 4K recording, are HARD FACTS that EVERYONE who JUSTIFY SHITTY SD430 in Nokia 5 & 6 are FANBOY who WILLINGLY hand over their money to buy a OVERPRICED, "NOKIA"-branded smartphone!
