Sharp officially unveils Aquos R with Snapdragon 835 and 22.6MP camera

A new smartphone has just been announced by the Japanese maker with top-of-the-line specs.

for me this is just perfect. Only thing which I did not like in S8 was the location of FP sensor. Sharp has it in the front, exactly where it should be. I love big screens but don't consider 5.3 exactly small either. Just going by the specs both front and rear cameras look great. Even if S8 beats it, it will still be fine as I expect this to produce some great pictures of its own.
Now am just waiting for the price and hope that they launch it outside of Japan too.

      apparently Sharp abandoned its bezelless smartphone range, which it started back in 2013, looks like my Aquos Xx is gonna stay longer with me... :(

Now that the Japanese brand is in the hand of Foxconn, a Taiwanese-based company, the Chinese brand can benefit from the Japanese tech. There are rumors that Apple is in talk with Toshiba to acquire its nand flash chip because Toshiba is in big trouble with the contract made to Westinghouse regarding the nuclear power plant, so Toshiba may sell its division to Apple to pay off. However, Toshiba's nand flash tech will also end up in the hand of a Chinese tech firm, lol.

                                  Nice to know that Sharp is still alive in the smartphone business. This phone seems good, it has nice specs to go with it too. Maybe design-wise they could have improved it a bit.

                                    Great phone with amazing specs, it just all depends on their pricing, price it too high and people will start comparing it with samsung, and the fact that samsung have gotten rid of bezels that will be a clear winning point. Price it too low and small money back, right price and bang its great
