LG Display will reportedly make OLED panels for the LG V30, other phones

Besides LG's phone making arm, Apple, Google and Xiaomi are also interested in LG-made OLED displays.

Now I'm switching from Amoled to IPS LCD because Amoled all time had quality issues like dual tone displays or bluish reddish pinkish displays. Bad viewing angles bad screen white point. If they fix it all then ok. But its bad quality now because its amoled. And it will be. Only what's can recreate amoled quality standarts is Apple and JDI maybe. LCD better for eyes. For now leave me with apple and sony IPS LCD screens. Low quality amoled obsessed peps. They good only on paper spec. Dont screw market with that stuff. Need leave choise whats want LCD variant phone and which need Amoled one. Like Apple will do.

        PLEEASEE PLEEAASEE...im begging LG TO NOT CURVE THE DISPLAY TOO MUCH on the V30.. i want that phone to amaze me like the v20 but better. DON't do a SAMSUNG MOVE and MAKE A S7 version 2.0 and call it the S8...If its a V30 i expect 10 new things..signing up with Dolby would be a good start

                Nice! I waiting for an LG smartphone with an OLED display for so long. It was very ironic, LG touts the superiority of OLED's for it's TV advertisements but always used LCD's for their flagship smartphones. This makes me even more excited for the V30. I am also hoping against hope for the return of the removable battery.

                      Leave curved displays alone, LG! Leave it to Samsung to brainwash hipsters, poseurs, and Apple haters looking for a "cool-looking" alternative as looking for a phone is like looking for a sexy looking trophy wife to serve their loneliness. Then cover it with a case!

                      The rest who actually want to type the letter "P" or "L" with our right thumb on our SwiftKey want it to register. Dave Lee on YouTube is spot on with the S8. The G6 is more convenient to hold and use. No jank OS too that stutters. No stupid fingerprint scanner placement.

                      The curved display nonsense is so "2015." Samsung will milk this bs nonsense until 2019 once Galaxy X drops. I used to back this cosmetic, gimmicky design. Nomore! Flat screen, ftw! Never again with curved. Terrible for typing with palm rejection and even gaming.

                        So is the wheel and fire, but we still need them. So is the light bulb but we still need them.

                        Look up OLED vs LCD. IPS lasts longer. OLED dies faster and with possible burn-in. Their life expectancy is shorter and not everybody likes yellowish, oversaturated, cartoony displays. Stop being brainwashed and being misinformed by Samsung.

                        LG has been making OLED for years now with their television sets. I don't like the idea of the V30 going curved. It gains nothing useful like curved TVs. If it goes curved and no removable battery like the V34 did just for waterproofing, then bye bye V30.

                        Getting me the Nokia 8 or 9 instead. Maybe the V20 for dirt cheap too. Then upgrade to the Pixel 3 next year once Android 9 (Pie) is out and it comes from a different OEM. HTC and Google might remove the headphone jack for the Pixel 2. HTC U suck!

                            Thankfully,pled will stay limited and pricey for a long while yet,their better than amoled, but I still prefer a good ips LCD,95% of the performance,but only 10% of the price of oleds..

                                        Too late for Aipel to do the deal with LG...because sammy is the big "apple pimp" so they will have sammycrappy displays on their overpriced apple's!

                                        LG make good display's i mean OLED...because LDC IPS now with LG sucks really, my V10 suffering of ghost image since 3 months and things are getting worst now...

                                        My G Flex2 instead (at the time i have it) have a gorgerous OLED panel and i love it...hope LG is getting better and better with OLED those days.

                                        - And if V30 came without the second screen the V series is dead. Trust Me, second screen is the face of V series.
