I think what's happening is the P10 model is the model for Cricket and the sd625 will be the US unlocked model. Maybe I'm wrong buy I think GA worded it weird- the Idol 4 was only available in the US on Cricket, though available elsewhere unlocked. While the 4s was available in the US unlocked (not sure of that one is global availability). The 5s will be a step Down from the 5, available on Cricket and abroad, and the 5 will be the same price range but unlocked in the US. I'm guessing neither of the Idol 4 models sold great and they needed to shift their strategy. A $200 sd617 was too much for Cricket and $400 for sd625 wasn't enough compared to an axon 7 and oneplus 3
Also if there's a step up it should be 5 Pro imo.

I actually like Alcatel more than any other brand. Fresh and innovative company. Hopefully they won't sink to Mediatek level. Stay with Qualcomm please.

angry, 21 Apr 20173GB of RAM sucks! To be honest MediaTek MT6757 isn't realy a powerhouse that could benefit from much higher RAM.
Interesting change in speaker grill on 5S - it is starting look a lot like an older HTC phone.

They got something wrong here. The GFXBench specs from the early leak this year showed the Mediatek, but the latest GFXBench spec leak of a model 6060 Alcatel shows the Snapdragon 625.

They will likely have different processors for different markets. I'm betting Snapdragon in the US, as Mediatek is kind of looked down upon here.
