Nokia 3310 (2017) is hitting shelves in Europe next week, but it will cost more than MSRP

22 April 2017
The nostalgia-infused feature phone will go of as much as EUR 59 on many markets. There are also offers for a yet unannounced 3G version.

Spending too much just for a cellphone isn't a good idea for me at all. I really other old people buying very expensive phones yet they didn't even know how to power it On or Off. Shit!!! What an ignorant!!! They're phones were updated yet they're minds were outdated.

I rather use this kind of phone that the latest phone models. They easily got defective and hard to fix. Not like the basic phones, it doesn't matter how many times you will drop it by accident or Not still it will work. Smartphones and iPhones FREAKIN' SUCKS!!!

That's FANBOY for u, JUSTIFY any & every thing done by their MOST BELOVED brand, even going as far as saying BS, nonsense, & illogical arguments...

if what u want is 2G for calling, just buy US$50 4' Chinese 3G Android PHONE, set ur mobile networks to "2G only" & disable ur mobile data; that's it. I do this for my primary phone which I only used for calling & texting. BTW, the phone battery last longer than ANY Nokia feature phones, as my phone have 2000mAh battery & works without problem even after 6 years of use (I bought it in 2011 where the latest Android version was JB). So, if the 2G is really being shut down, I still can use my phone as it was 3G HSPA phone from the beginning.

With this, u can get "decent" phone worth EVERY penny & last longer as a "phone" since it can also use 3G band rather than buying SHITTY NEW Nokia 3310 which will be an EXPENSIVE piece of junk when 2G getting shut down.

"...besides smart phones use the network for talking and texting..."
Why bother bringing 2 phones if what u want is A PHONE WITH 2G ONLY?
Buy a smartphone with 2 SIM, set each SIM for different use. That's all.
Turn off internet connection of the SIM for internet use when not in use, as simple as that.

      "...so ignore the trolls!"
      LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
A TROLL DARE to accuse others TROLLS?
      What a HYPOCRITE!

Anonymous, 23 Apr 2017But due its 2G it has stellar battery life. This was the ma... more"... due its 2G it has stellar battery life..."

The most STUPID comment of this month, I see.

2G has NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER with how long the juice in ur phone battery will last.
What makes ur battery juice last longer or not are DISTANCE between ur phone and nearest BTS, the OBSTACLE between ur phone and nearest BTS, & on/off internet connection.

In a rural area where even 2G service doesn't reach, I guarante ur BELOVED Nokia 3310 phone WON'T last a day, since there are no BTS near u, making ur phone "work" extra hard in finding signal.

In urban area, where there are MANY BTS but also many signal obstacles (buildings), the same thing also applies; ur phone need to "work" extra hard to find signal.

the last, on/off internet connection is also one of the reason for fast battery draining. No matter whether it's GSM/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA/LTE, as long as u are enabling & using internet connection, which requires A LOT of battery juice; ur phone have to send & receive data as well as finding & maintaining signal to make a stable internet connection, making ur phone juice draining fast when u are far from BTS or when there are lots of obstacle in between ur phone & the nearest BTS.

I always believe that EVERYONE writing comments @ GSMA have decent to good understanding on how the cellphone works, but to think there is SOMEONE like this BRAVE enough to write misleading "2G = stellar battery life" BS...

Truly, fanboys will DO anything to justify their their BELOVED brand no matter what, even going as far as saying misleading BS...

Nice secondary phone. The concept of 'every body's phone' is the one being marketed.

with this kind of spec it should be 19 dollar only......look like HMD just want overprice people memory and of course dealer will markup the pricetag.

if they put 4G VOLTE and GPS i can considered it at 35 dollar

Despite its age it's the most stable of the common cellular-systems.

In the US it seems that telecom-operators have made plans to ditch 2G so it's indeed useless over there. I find this weird because the USA is a very big continent with large distances between towns and villages perfect to keep using 2G as cell-towers are distanced further apart.

mir, 23 Apr 2017Its gone downhill in terms of editing for a while. But that's because GSMArena doesn't show the edit button when adding a comment via a smartphone. Not to mention that typing on phones isn't the best in itself and the predictive text sometimes makes matters even worse.

I too have much less typing errors when using my full size Logitech keyboard on my i7-6700-series PC with 28"monitor instead of my 5.2" smartphone ;-)
