Apple worked with Samsung, both ended up suing each other.

Apple worked with Imagination Technologies, both are heading to suing each other.

There seems to be a pattern when working with Apple.

dumb move for Qualcomm, all other brands using their chips will be affected by this, all this just to take down Apple? seems like there are too many companies obsessed with Apple's butt

Anonymous, 04 May 2017Yeah. So you can't afford is pretty much nonsense argument.... moreStating that the costliest phone is an Android is an empty fact and probably not even true (since there are a couple of jewellery companies pimping iPhones to a state you'd have to sell your car and house to afford one). When looking at non-custom phones, Apple has what? 3 models on the market? And Android has how many? So which platform would most likely have the most expensive phone? And the cheapest? And the largest? And the smallest? The prettiest? The fastest? The most endurable? So yeah, if you find one or more elements of a phone the most important and want to take that to extremes, I'm pretty sure you'll need an Android. And if you're just looking at bangs for your buck, I'm also pretty sure you'll need an Android.

Qualcomm charges different prices for the same chip depending on the final selling price of the finished product, which is absolutely ludicrous. The modem is a small part of the finished phone; industrial design, build quality, OS, UI, and app selection all have far more bearing on the market price of the handset. Qualcomm is going to get kicked to the curb, and similar lawsuits from other phone makers will probably follow.
