This phone certainly has my attention, just wish the battery was bigger than 3000 mAh.

Well, it seems that it's not a joke that the ZTE Nubia Z17 will be armed to the teeth. If it will really be armed with an 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, SD 835, Android 7.1 Nougat and a dual-camera setup of 12MP, etc. It will be really fully armed (for war, meta..., Haha).

However, even with Sonys dedicated software team, official releases come to an end, and after 3 or more years the only thing that matters is if phones hardware can cope with custom roms of the future. And with 6 gigs of RAM, you are safe.

Of course, if you replace smartphones every year or two, you will be better of just buying XZs

Since it became a huge thing after the scandal of Samsung and Huawei, could you please add the type of storage in the datasheets ?
I just find it important to know if brands like ZTE or Xiaomi still use EMMC or UFS storage

Who needs 6GB of RAM that will not be fully utilized?

OnePlus, who has greater software than ZTE, can't even manage its full 6GB RAM with pure stock Android with sudden reloading of basic apps, even losing to an inferior-specced phone, the XZs. Not saying hardware is unnecessary, but it'll be useless if it will run on a power demanding software.
