This is a great & sensible way for Microsoft to move forward, co-exist and still prosper. I wish them all the best!

Windows 10 is the worst Windows ever. Windows XP SP3 is the best. Windows 7 and 8.1 with ClassicShell are also good. But W10 is an ugly, resource hog, data mining spyware with no user control/options.

I don't care about Windows 10 mobile unless I can play with Postal 2 and Soldier of Fortune 2 on a mobile.

Took them a while to come up with an obvious strategy. Hope it means really seamless integration.

AnonD-642976, 14 May 2017i hate to admit it - but this might be a game changer. n... moreWindows 10 was said to already be able to use same kernel... on both PC and phones! Windows 10 is horrible to use, and Windows 10 Mobile is so bad that is totally unusable (Android, many years ago, never was as bad as Windows 10 Mobile is today)!
Microsoft is even worse than Google, spying... on the user!

Just make it got dam "OPTIONAL" for those who wants a "Pure DESKTOP" experience without those dam AppbStore/Mobile Crap.

Windows 10 OS is crap, would never buy another PC again. Desktop I bought last year would sleep when not in use and never wake up again. You'll have to force power off and turn it back on again. My daughter's laptop also bought last year would have episode of number buttons on keyboard or on screen keyboard not displaying the numbers when pushed. After using IOS and Android on smartphones, I really wonder what's wrong with Windows 10 OS? It feels so primative and in beta.

i hate to admit it - but this might be a game changer.

not just for iOS and Android on the moblie site - also for MacOS, the x86/x86-64 CPU's and the whole industry of PC`s targeting the mass market.

90% of the people does not need an x86 powerd PC. neither for business nor for domestic use. a smaller, cheaper and energy sufficient unit is a good thing then.

if a company could cut costs on hardware and energy still having a mashine able to run a full windows with busniss aplications like office and emulate a x86 environment to run any .exe (like SAP GUI, Oracle or any custom made program) - it will go this way. no doubt.

might be time to trade apple and intel in for MS and Qualcomm shares. Google is like a cockroach. they are going to survive them all - so NEVER sell Google!

Windows 10 S is coming out soon so it would be good OS for phones and tablets to be like desktop PC. No more need to carry around heavy laptops.

With the last update news for windows phone update mine was not in the list, but I got the 1198 update on my Lumia 830. Would be nice if win 10 S could make my old 830 be like a desktop pc to do simple things like read mails and send them and can do what ever exel work on it.

Damn, Microsoft , you're walking on a great path, a universal OS and clipboard for every device is a great plan, later this year we'll see the results!

Window phone 10 was amazing I loved my 930 with that but they decided to give us this sh*t called 950 that looked like lower end third world made garbage . And now no new phone so they finally decided to end window phone ? Nokia and m.s hardware business should just go bankrupt

This is in years I'm wanting a Microsoft product to be a success, only because that can push Google to release whatever fuchsia os or magenta kernel they're cooking to be a consumer product.

Running full windows 10 pc on phone is really good idea.
I think Microsoft should kill Windows 10 Mobile and make phones with windows 10 pc. This will provide real continuum without hassle for app developers to develop separate apps for mobile and pc.

That moment when Microsoft loves Android and iOS more than their windows itself. LMAO !
Microsoft is a spyware trap, Don't fall for it...

Microsoft gets mostly everything right lately.
Project Neon = Fluent Design looks sooo good.

Windows phone may be back next year with full win32 app compatibility & perfect Continuum so it'd appeal to certain demographic.
