Aside from what you mentioned it also has twice the data transfer speed, 4x the range (yes, FOUR... That's 800 feet), and it'll also help facilitate additional location-based functionality due to things mentioned above.

The fact that last year's HTC 10 is still among the top with this year's phones speaks volumes about HTC. My roommate was forced to switch out his S7 for an S8 thanks to Samsung's teething issues! I use an HTC M8 and the 10, both run wonderful. The 10 is just as snappy as it was on the day I bought it!

That being said, I may not get the U11, I just don't see a reasonable upgrade over my 10. Rooting for HTC though!

Wow, surprised on these folks that never seen a S8 lag. I don't think I've ever saw a Samsung device period that didn't lag, especially in the home screen. Most video reviews of the S8 you can spot it also, what has been seen can not be unseen.

Although I am a huge HTC fan (owned 5 HTC devices the past years) this year I was forced to buy the S8 as otherwise I would lose my carriers bonus.
It is pretty fast but sometimes it does lag for a second in some apps.
But to tell the truth I have it for around 4 weeks and this has happened like 2-3 times.
All in all its a great phone but if I had the option to get this or the U11 it is the HTC I would buy mostly for sentimental reason as well as looks

I dunno how S8 is faster.
I've tested one in the Samsung store and it lags terribly in the UI and in some games if you turn the settings all the way up (the way games should be played on a chipset so powerful)
Anyway, Samsung is known to cheat their benchmarks, so is understandable.

Anonymous, 16 May 2017All cores are equal inside iphone... Qualcomm always ha... moreGeekbench uses the performance core , or in the case of big.little both.
It's been known for ages. The OS sees load, it appropriates the relevant cores no questions asked.

Gwekbench is mistaken when recognizing the processor because at the time of the recognition there is no load , so it recognizes the small cores alone.

They can solve this by running a temporary load during reading the hardware.
