I only want good performing phones with replaceable batteries. So every time my battery screw up, i don't have to pay 2/3 the price to replace it. Looking at you Apple, Lenovo and OnePlus

Loki, 29 May 2017Mediatek should use 10 nm tmsc and make eight core like his... moreactually im saying 14nm for areason ... good enough for the price ... mediatek never was no1 in power or sales so they dnt need to go for no1 ... no 2 or 3 is good enough rather than not competing at all .

TechLover1, 29 May 2017Absolutely looking forward. But most probably we'll have to... moreWe don't have to wait for S9, because if HiSilicon, Samsung, Mediatek and Qualcomm wait again to release chipsets with these, the iPhone 8 will boast it, but probably at more than double the size like they always did

The best thing I read was "2x single threaded performance" and when Qualcomm finally starts to use at least 1 A75 core (or the Kryo version of it) on all of their chipsets, even low end phones will have an impressive performance.

How much a55 improve on efficiency?? This is the sole purpose of this series of cores. and also the reason it's most successful arm core. Older, cheaper 28nm processes needed efficient cores for battery life. And Chinese OEMS and other companies making battery champ phones hoarded over it.

Absolutely looking forward. But most probably we'll have to wait until the next S9 or so, but, let's hope that we'll see it in action before the launch of the next gen S9, haha.

mediatek helio x30 is dead ,no one wants it .... so i see this as big chance for mediatek ,using this new architecture to build new SOC line instead of hellio and try to make it available in devices launching by the end of this year would be aturning point for them to separate them selves ..... using 14 nm technology for availability and for lower costs rather than samsung 10nm may be ideal for them .
