Darn my Acer CB3-111 wasn't mentioned, at least it'll get support for Android apps soon.

My middle child uses his Chromebook daily in school as writing papers and sharing them on a tablet takes to much time. Purchasing a young child a windows machine or a expensive apple paperweight is not a wise choice at that age.

Android apps might sometimes work best on a touchscreen device, although I'm not so sure. Surely a mouse will be ok for selections?

Why do we need a Chrome OS?
Just launch a Tablet for Smartphone Docking, wireless or HDMI connected.
