Tall screens also works great with VR.. As for multiview-if you don't use it because you don't know how to because you are iOS educated then please don't discredit its functionality as it is crucial and staple for lots of people other than YOU

I wish to see the 6 inch display and 4.7 inch display with waterproof feature. 4.7 inch display is Compact with 1 loudest speaker nice 8MP selfie and very 8MP back camera with stacked dram sensor, 720p display with 300+pixels density, strong battery endurance for 3 to 4 days with very good sunlight readable. For the 6.0 inch display is more to add-in the selfie flash LED 16MP front and back camera, dual speakers. All must have Qnovo battery.

Oh so dear stereo sound even if it's verylow. Weren't these the excuses for the bezels. Now I wonder what will it be once the phone comes out

Great move, i like xperia not having 4K display in most line as only drain battery, but i hate big bezel on most xperia

AnonD-39937, 19 Jun 201718:9 screens were the last thing mobiles needed...I used to think 18:9 would be great. Or even 21:9 so that Widescreen movies would work, and when placing two Apps in MultiView, the extra "3"(21-18):9 space would be used up for the Divider and Nav-Bar.
But I must say: I was wrong.
21:9 Movies are a niche.
And even rarer are people who are serious about MultiView on a screen that's smaller than tablet.
16:9 is the ideal resolution, its the smallest with the least trade-offs.
The only other aspect ratio that works is √2 or ~12.7:9 (1.4142) as its a perfect rectangle, and it would scale pixel-perfect at each generation without image distortion. Example:
iPhone: 362 x 256
iPhone 3GS: 512 x 362
iPhone 4: 724 x 512
iPhone 5: 1024 x 724
iPhone 6: 1448 x 1024
iPhone 7: 2048 x 1448
iPhone 2019: 2896 x 2048

Whats the point of having black... more16:9 come from mixing the 4:3 aspect and 21:9 aspect which means equal used space from both content, now that the 4:3 aspect is barely alive (except for camera sensor that is) they mixing 16:9 with 21:9 aspect resulting in long akward 18:9, so if all mobile manufacturers went with this road, more and more content especially app will have support for this aspect, but video won't be the case since it will be unpractical for a domestic tv to have 18:9 aspect, at least for the time being

They won't give up the 13mp AF Front Camera.
More likely they will move it elsewhere like underneath the display and will only show when it's gonna be used, just like how SIM.Card tray works, but in this case, the whole camera frame sticks out on its own.
They will give up stereo speaker, but hopefully it will mean a significant improvement on the loudness of the speaker.

Sony is not the only one to buy screen from JDI.
Also Sony would have to drop the 13MP selfie to go tiny bezel.
2:1 is useless.
No tv has it.
