Essential PH-1 makes it through the FCC, might be water resistant

The Essential phone has just strolled through the FCC, an important step in making sure a device will be ready to go on sale.

An rating of IP5X would indicate it is not entirely sealed against dust, and has not been tested for water exposure. The first digit is Ingress Protection rating of solids, the second liquids.

        Isn't the one+ Using a snapdragon chip? It should be CDMA compatible right? I mean it is a Snapdragon.

          Hopefully it will be waterproof, etc.
