      Who knows, Note 8, Pixel 2 / XL 2, V30, XZ1 / XZ1 Compact / XZ1 Ultra, iPhone 7s / 7s Plus / 8, Axon 8, Idol 5 / 5s, Mate 10, Zenfone 4, etc. May win the award.

      Not saying you're wrong, just telling you that you're too early.

The second half is always more interesting with new launches from Samsung's Note series, LG V-series, Huawei's Mate series, Google's Nexus/Pixel series and Apple's...uhhhh....iPhone series! :)

        Plus, Sony's better flagships are usually released in the second half.

                  Congrats Samsung. I would say they deserved it.

                  The S8+ is a pretty good all-round smartphone.
                  Great screen, new unique design, big battery (especially for flagships), superb camera (front & rear), feature-rich UI and high-end performance.

                  Plus they didn't kill off the 3.5 mm headphone jack unlike SOME others....
