There are hardly any options in 4k recording when lg has a full list of options. Dont get me i love xperias recording longevity and stabilisation, but there are no options for recording except h264 or h265

The video seems to prove that it does. Of course I could say that the device is idle, just propped up slightly on a table, and how it might fare if out and about, having to deal with network connectivity and processing video stabilisation and such, might deliver different results.
Now I could say all that.....but I won't. It's a demonstration of a dramatic improvement regarding an issue that apparently never was, so let's leave it at that :)

It also has very solid frame rate better than most flagships for example, LG g6 throttles very quickly to the point it looks choppy. Don't get me wrong I like the g6 but that's abysmal. The s8 frame rate goes good then drop down to a mediocre level, not as bad as the g6 and, when it changed to 1080p it still had the same results...

Obviously anyone that hates Sony for no reason is a member of Samsung bandwagon. It's a common thing already, 'cause Sony means disaster for Samsung.
And I love the ignorant excuses coming from the denials.
You can't store enough memory? Why would you do this thing in the first place? There's a damn thing called "SD Card" and Sony has a dedicated slot for it.
You may not do an unlimited time of 4K video, but the fact that you can do it on a smartphone is something worth the credit.
You may never know when this minor yet amazing thing will be useful for your usage.

Then get your dedicated 4K video cam instead and trade off the points that a smartphone also capable of doing more things than just video recording or just stick to your s8 with lower video quality than Sony XZP's. Get it? LoL!!

Unfortunately for me that's true but I'm not ashamed to admit it, I have my reasons but it's still dumb to think everyone who's critical of Sony is in the Samsung bandwagon.

With sony's EIS working in video recording and the fact that this records longer than many dedicated cameras, I think sony has shown itself to be the king of video phones.
Flagship phones should be excessive to jusyify the price tag.
