Windows crap was the most embarrassing thing Microsoft ever did since taking over NOKIA and killing MAEMO & MEEGO which according to my opinion there was a bit of light for them and maybe will stand against Android with a huge company support.

But no They killed Meego & Maemo which by far more stable less or no lagging OS and alot of users who owns them almost never complained.

Jolla came from the dark side of the moon to enlight us were as Windows was trying to show some muscles but without any result.

Few people used this Crap OS. Some of them expressed there satisfaction about using it and some compalined. Well No Support to OS as it us should be and no support for APPS like other OS.
Nokia did not embrace Sailfish OS which is a promising gold mind kicking ass OS but rather went to Android.

Thanks Microsoft for Killing Nokia and hope it will be revived again..

        Windows phone does the lag.

        Lag in Android was started by jealous dual core windows phone fans years ago.

        Lag has been a lie in since 4.2 for Android

              sohail shafayat, 18 Jul 2017most of the people are not smart, smarter people still use ... moreSo when people purchase something other than WP because it cannot run the applications they use on a regular basis they are stupid? That's what you just said, by implication, for over 90% of the mobile market in the world. Only idiots buy a phone that cannot run the apps. they wish to use and most likely that has no upgrade path either. It does sound rather arrogant and condescending too, of course.

                AnonD-632062, 18 Jul 2017What a huge drop into the abyss for Windows Mobile! BTW I... moreIt's hard to know because none of them are releasing figures, and the best we have are estimates built upon estimates.

                But from what I can find out there are roughly;
                HTC: (min) 8 Million - 40 Million (max)
                SONY: (min) 12 Million - 41 Million (max)
                LG: (min) 14 Million - 75 Million (max)

                Let's generalise this to a conservative;
                HTC ~15 million units sold in the past 12 months
                SONY ~20 million units sold in the past 12 months
                LG ~45 million units sold in the past 12 months

                And there are around 1.5 Billion total phone units sold each year.
                Which brings their market share to:
                HTC ~1%
                SONY ~1.4%
                LG ~3%
                ...no wonder they don't release figures, its embarrassing.

                So even the "pointless" HTC market share alone is higher than the Windows Phone ecosystem. I guess many of us were correct to call WP's death from years ago.

                  ImJoaquinTheDog, 18 Jul 2017No, there's more Windows Phone devices than Gingerbread. Yo... moreYou're not wrong... its just that wasn't my comment, GSMArena's system seems to crop my comment. I tried twice already, here's my third attempt to comment.

                  I tried to say:
                  Entire Windows Phone Ecosystem ~0.1%
                  Old iOS devices ~2.0%
                  Newer iOS 10 iPhones ~13.0%
                  Old Android 1.5 - 4.3.1 ~8.1%
                  Newer Android 4.4 - 6.0.1 ~67.0%
                  Cutting Edge Android 7.0 - 7.1.2 ~9.8%
                  TOTAL = 100%

                  So that the ENTIRE ecosystem of Windows Phone is smaller than the niche iPhone demography, or the niche extremely old Android demography, or the niche Nexus/Pixel demography. This is a bad thing, we needed Microsoft to provide an alternative. Competition is good for us.
