24 July 2017
As such, it's the most polished yet - think of it as a Release Candidate for Android O.

After lollipop no major changes in any versions of android M,N and O they are all same with minor changes
Kitkat UI was very snappy but after this material design android is no longer smooth and yes i use a phone with SD652 and 3GB RAM but still it doesn't give silky animation missing kitkat

    whats new ?

Whilst some devices are crawling on Android 5 and 6, some are getting 7 now. And 8 is knocking on the doors. And why? Because every OEM has to cook his own bloated system.

Vanilla + standard drivers for the most common SoC. And OEM drivers via Google Play. Can't be that hard to implement... I mean... not hard for a multi billion dollar company named Google.

        Looking forward.

Google lags behind software and technical advancements than apple.... For last 10 years android software failed to improve itself... Google needs admission in play group with Apple to learn something's...

AnonD-626076, 24 Jul 2017There are a lot of changes "under the hood"Almost all of the time, "under the hood" changes are more of a minor than a major version update. This inexorable need to release a new major version each year for incremental updates is frankly annoying.

AnonD-79703, 24 Jul 2017Frankly, what are the changes between 7.0, 7.1 and 8.0...?8.0 is supposed to stop cpu demand from background apps, meaning improved battery life and no need to cull apps in the background.
Time will tell how well it'll work
