AnonD-488858, 06 Aug 2017yes! nokia always provide chipset that lower than the pric... moreWhat r u smoking, DUDE... Ur English is soooo incomprehensible... Even google translate nowadays "speak" better English & could be understand easily...

From the specs sheet, Nokia 2 most probably won't get OS update, just patch & security update.
It MIGHT run Nougat out-of-the-box, but that's it....

You expect SD210/212 which STILL use cortex A7 (32-bit), Adreno 304, 1GB RAM & 8GB ROM to run "standard" Android O? Unless it is AndroidOne / AndroidGO (version with lots of feature cut), I highly doubt It COULD run Android O.

Heck, let alone 2, I highly doubt Nokia 3 & 5 could run Android O, as 2GB of RAM & 16GB ROM is too small for 2017 minimum requirement (at least 3GB RAM & 32GB ROM, as both RAM & ROM memory are shared).

Yeah, NOKIA PROMISES its "new" phone to get "updates", but TO RUN IT FLUIDLY without ANY DRAWBACK is another matter. Moreover, "updates" doesn't necessarily mean OS upgrade, as the SoC of 2 & 3 are TOO WEAK to run Android O (5 in my opinion is also weak, as2GB RAM won't get u anywhere with the latest Android version which need higher & higher minimum requirements every year).

If u STILL insist on getting this POS, suit youself. A 2014 phone like Asus Padfone S (SD801, 2GB RAM/16GB ROM) which still available (on online shop, in my country several offline stores still have Padfone S stock though) is still MILES BETTER than Nokia 2.
OR, if u want "newly released" ones, Redmi 4A is the cheapest "crap" phone which still SEVERAL TIMES BETTER than Nokia 2

yes! nokia always provide chipset that lower than the price point. but reliable. still prefer low resolution so.that run internet faster even reception weak. not like other brand, after some times. they don't even support new app. hopefully I use 2 sony its fine. will see the respond and maybe get one. know from CES mantion about high resolution always consume battery a lot. 8 GB memory still fine if you can control and get the right app. not for high end user. hope that it work as good as window phone. although I didn't own 1. but I try it before. small file with their app. should be work fine.

Those specs are for entry level but people are not that dumb to take this over Xiaomi's redmis just for nostalgic sake because they know Nokia is also new to android (x1 didn't succeed) This phone isn't worth more than 50$ for 2017 standards

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2017Crap phone. Better to buy Motorola.I was on the Moto bandwagon too but it looks like it's days of updates and solid build quality are fading into the past. Reports are the g5 plus had a lot of screen bleeding issues and bugs. Updates are getting farther and farther behind and with the amount of phones Lenovo is putting out thats only going to get worse. All of Nokia's processors are a bit behind for the price point but think about what they do have- sturdy build quality and updates. The only other hope of the kind of updates they're talking about is to get an old Nexus or a $600 pixel. The 8 sounds like it will be around $500 which is awesome by ANYONE'S standards. I'm hoping a 7 materializes with a sd6xx or a sequel with sd450 (smaller processors) and they will have my money.

I don't see the point of this. I'd rather get a dumb-phone than a "smartphone" with guts like this one. But that's just me. A dumb-phone seems a better choice at the price point of this Nokia 2.
