No update for a two year old phone with an operating system that came out a year ago. How is this news?

How about the fact that the year old DTEK line (less than a year for DTEK60) still has't gotten Nougat? It's the most expensive and powerful phone on the market to never have even gotten Nougat. This is exactly how you bleed the loyal customers who stuck it out from BB10 to Android.

BlackBerry is unsustainable. You aren't going to run a company by charging $0.99 for the Hub services. You would have to get every single Android user on the planet to subscribe to the Hub and still not come close to what Samsung and Apple are making. And at least THEY update their phones.

Just give us 10.4 for the Passport. Remove the old Android runtime, give us a updated browser based on Blink, and ride your golden parachutes to retirement.

                  Shame.

The BlackBerry Priv was the first phone that had me consider a Blackberry in a longtime.
I did agree, that their light-Stock software good and their security was concrete.
That slide-out qwerty though, that was special.

The worse part about that phone was the SoC, it was kind of slow and drained a lot of battery. Not to mention the cameras were quite poor performance for its price. And the IPS-LCD screen was good but wasn't winning any award.

Hopefully BlackBerry follows up this tragedy with a new Priv 2.
You know, something with a decent long-lasting SoC like the QSD 835 instead. And maybe release it soon with Oreo out of the box. And perhaps an upgraded OLED screen, stereo speaker, and decent camera.

Shameful. For a company that brags about software updates.

It's very embarrassing in the middle of the current competition.

BB had long history of abandoning their old handsets. They are launching new touch device soon. So, in next earnings call, BB will announce no Oreo update for KeyOne. :)

Even the Mi4c got Nougat, and Xiaomi is the worst at updating Android versions.
