The Design is brilliant and looks better than Samsung or LG.
The first mi mix was a little to big.

So in short, you can only flush this one down the toilet.
What a shame, really.
The only thing that's better is the camera, which sucked donkey ass in the original Mix.
(Okay, the cpu is also a bit better, but that's not really noteworthy.)
Otherwise, it's a great deal worse than the original Mix:
- horrible 18:9 ratio, making usability and handling a great deal worse
- screen size reduced to 6" from 6.4", but due to the horrible 18:9, it's more like actual 5.7" and not 6"
- battery got heavily castrated, from 4400 mAh to small 3400 mAh
- headphone jack has been removed
- the bottom selfie cam, which is only good for taking selfies of your nostrils, still hasn't been changed
Overall, it's way too overpriced for a device that, in many regards, is clearly worse than the original Mix.
EPIC FAIL, Xiaomi!
Shame on you for bringing such a horrible follow-up to a device that was really great!

all of these devices have the same camera specific mix2 is same as the others just with one camera
xiaomi its not a budget phone anymore because mi note 3 must be rename to redmi pro 2 or redmi note 5 with sd card support & 4100Mah battery capacity
they are start to downgrade the specifications & upgrade the price
its all about more money

Manufacturing amazing phones with atleast one ... moreMost phones have more than 1 (this phone too). Xiaomi is one of the few companies that recently produced a phone with just one deal breaker (but actually amzing in everything else), Mi Mix 1.
Last phone like that was Note 4 (only 3GB of ram made it age, especially as the tech for 4gb was there then... everything else was top notch ... literally)

I`m a Xiaomi user for years now and I was really looking forward for Mix2 and Note3 to be revealed especially with all that hype that was going on last weeks.But it seems like Xiaomi bosses decide to release two new models with lower specs then expected.Just wait to see the pricing for all of us outside China who are interrested in these great phones.After they wake up tomorrow after big release(and with massive hangover) and after they read all comments about their underspec models maybe they`ll do something about it...

My Mix in Metal should have been cheaper. In any case, the bezeless design it's now common and justify to high price only due to it.
About the one plus 5 we will see the comparatives. But I bet for better photos in the OP5 in normal conditions. More details far objects in low light conditions with the Mix 2 due to the OIS, and better video stabilization of course. But a lot better selfies in OP5. Similar peformance. Better brightness under the sun in OP5 due to it's amoled screen.
The biggest difference will be in the guarantie coverage depending on where you live. The reparirability score of one plus 5 is you lose the guarantie is 7 about 10. We'll see the score of Mix 2, but I encourage all to avoid drop that phone ; )

$117? i don't exactly know what the predecessor costed but I feel like this is much cheaper now. Definitely a better deal than the OnePlus 5 (or OnePlus 7 Plus)

The break for me is the selfie sensor, an Omnivision OV5675. The brightness, detail and sharpness of this sensor leaves much to be desired for what is expected of a phone like this. If anything should have changed from the previous model it was precisely this sensor plus the sound quality. And why reduce the battery size?
The price would be ok even a bit more expensive with the right selfie camera but if you add the taxes no chance against other phones.
