There's nothing elegant spectacular or innovative about spending over a thousand dollars on a phone and hey, if you get some sort of out of body experience you claim is 'nirvana' from an Apple product I suggest you go visit the neurologist.

Best design? not at all.... moreto the naked it looks more bezeless than the s8 and lgv30. i suppose they all look nice on their own. for me the v30 is appealing due to the many sound qualities its offering. Honestly im surprised sony didn't have 4k 60fps first.

Since those who use their phones with their thumbs usually reach in from the side of the display, having wider side bezels makes the far edges and corners of the display less accessible.

Unless Apple blackens the areas to the side of the sensor bar, which will undermine the "bezel-less" display, an awkward part of your videos/games will get cutout, and in many mobile game, the edges of the screen have most of the important navigation and controls. That brings me to my other point. For a phone that supposedly has a "bezel-less" display, the side bezels are very significant, which is a shame because side bezels make the far corners of the device less accessible, whereas top and bottom bezels aren't such an issue. Additionally, the LG V30 and Samsung GN8 both have a greater screen-to-body ratio, even with much wider top and bottom bezels.

Dude seriously? A "whopping" 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio? I get that it it significantly better than what the iPhone 8 delivers, but Samsung's Galaxy S8 and Note 8 have an infinite contrast ratio. Also, for a display that claims to be bezel-less, the side bezels are huge, and the screen-to-body ratio is only 81.49%, compared to the V-30's 83.42% and the Note 8's 83.2%. And those phones don't have a stupidly placed camera cutout.

I do not see it m... moreAgreed, face unlock in many day to day situations is impractical, i was just referring to the time Apple spent on Animoji on stage. Face unlock will improve over time but still won't be more practical that touch ID and that 1 in million possibility for face ID reliability applies to a 6 digit pin as well (10^6 permutations of the 6 digit pin and your pin is one of those). people started using touch id for convenience not because how secure it is. LG Samsung are at least putting it on the backside of the device, Apple didn't show that courtesy.

I already mentioned apple does not take economy of country in consideration. India is just an example where apple has ambitious plans. I am sure there will be some european developed nations that will have iPhone X priced beyond 1500 including taxes. Poor countries don't buy it at 999$ price as well. There won't be many who would shell out 65000 + GST in INR in india for a phone even if were launched at 999$ in india which almost never happens.

My gosh... Full thread of people arguing about what bezelless and "bezel-less" is...
1) Suffix -less, means lacking (something); without (something); absence (of something).
2) bezel-less is a technology of hiding a screen bezel behind a specifically engineered screen edge/curvature, but keeping it flat. You can see that in Sharp Aquos Chrystal, ZTE Nubia Z11 and Sony XA1 Ultra ...
3) Edge-to-edge is a different take on that idea, by just curving a screen to the sides of a phone. Like Samsung does. It still has bezel, but it's on a side of a phone, thus out of direct vision...
Clearly, none of that applies to iPhone X.
But that doesn't mean the screen is bad...

There are so many situations that people will fell pissd to have to actually look at the screen to unlock.
For ex, taking fast camera shots, etc...
Those new sensors would so much more be usable for the main camera.

Im going to swear that the side bezels, if not larger than the previous version, have the same size. Wich is laughable for the price they are asking and offcourse deceitful.
