Also mi mix 2 has more RAM, more powerful CPU/GPU and corning gorilla glass which the earlier mi mix didnt have.

6 inches is better as 6.4 was too big to hold for a lot of people. And since the phone now is smaller (6 inch vs 6.4) it is not a big deal if its battery size is smaller too. Also it has an even more battery friendly version of android this year. Somebody also complained that its top bezel is bigger this time. It is because it has normal speakers embedded in its top bezel this time, whereas last year 'beneath' screen bezels were used. And they didnt give out enough volume. But still the difference is minute. It still has has less top bezel than all phones in the market now. Also....a certain amount of side-bezel is also necessary so that our hand (skin of our hand :)) doesnt block the screen when viewing it and also for protection against screen cracks if the phone falls down.

Mi mix 2 is not as interesting as the first one. Even companies like Doogee can make "bezelless" phones now.
